Gideon grinned and shrugged ‘I’m not too sure? I would love to see all kinds of places but I’m not sure where I’d like to go first.. Do you have any idea of where you would like to go first?” He looked at her “I mean, I would love to visit other countries, but there are so many to choose from aren’t there?” He grinned and shrugged. “I want to see as much as possible and as much as we can afford without going bankrupt.”

Gideon talking about living in the Muggle world made Moira’s heart pound, and her eyes went to the table while she smiled. “I’m sure you’ll do absolutely fine. If you ever make a mistake that seems strange, you can just be your charming self and the muggles will forget all about it.” After he kissed her she looked at him again, and put her head on his shoulder while still holding his hand. “I hope so too. Where would you like to go first?”

Gideon laughed “Oi...” He nudged him “Sure of course we will do it then.. I have the spells, we just need to alter it a little so it will work on all houses at once.’

“Could’ve fooled me on some days.” James laughed. “That sounds great, we just have to make sure that we do it before dinner which is in half an hour.”

“I was in Herbology and I was being a perfect student until one of the Slytherins decided to throw something in my plant and the plant freaked out and I got the blame from Madame Sprout.. Seriously.. she wouldn’t even listen to me.. and I’m in her house!”

“Who did you piss off this time?” James said standing next to him.

Gideon smiled and kissed the top of her head like he had done a million times before. He grinned ‘Do you remember the adventures we’d been going on, with James? It’s a shame he is with Sirius and Remus and Peter a lot, I miss having him around more often. We used to be good the three of us. And Fabian sometimes too. I know we drove Molly nuts.’

He nodded “We will be leaving soon, it’s flown by seriously.. It’s mental..” He sighed and flipped to their first day of Hogwarts, they were at King’s Cross and sported the biggest grins known to man on their faces. “We were so excited to get to school weren’t we? I remember the day we got our wands and books.. It was still one of my favourite days.’ He then sighed when she asked what they’d do. “I don’t know.. I honestly don’t know. I want to join up with the Order, to help them, help fight whatever evil is out there... But I don’t want to leave Moira behind and I know she wants to go to the Muggle world, so I’m not sure.. Perhaps I can do both.. I do know I’m not going to stay back and do nothing.’

He grinned “Thank you. I try my best. Don’t want to disappoint you while I’m here and if we want to live in the Muggle world, well, I kinda have to know those things.. Instead of coming across as a moron, I can come across as a not so moron.” He chuckled and kissed her “I know I am looking forward to it as well, I hope we get to go really soon, that we won’t be held back..’

“You’re a quick learner. You keep surprising me with new words you’ve learned, so I have to say I’m impressed.” She smiled at him while thinking back to when she had been introduced to the magic world, and all the new things she’d had to learn. It hadn’t been easy. “I know,” she replied while nodding. “We’ll make it through. As you said, it’ll take time, but we have each other. That’ll make the time go faster. I’m already looking forward to it.”

Gideon smiled and held her hand as they went through the picture album and nodded. “We were incredibly horrible to him, but he’s payed me back for that, it’s not like we’ve never suffered from his pranks?” He smiled and wiped his eyes. “But I do remember that, he looked so scared that he wasn’t going to be able to go, but then Molly found his letter and I got hit up the head and Fabian was able to hit me to.” He pouts.

He went through the next page and smiled, “What about this one? It was our first trainride to Hogwarts. Can you believe that was already seven years ago? It’s ridiculous... It can’t have been that long, seven years...” He muttered.

“I knew it was that.” He grinned so proud. “I’ve been trying my best to get there, I might need your help though...” He smiled and nodded. “We do need to save money, but we’ll get there hun, it’ll take time but we’ll get there one day.” Gideon squeezed her hand, he knew it would take time until they could put their plans in motion, but they would get there, eventually they would get there.

“Yes, that’s right, airplanes.” She smiled at him and squeezed his hand. “You’re learning. We’ll have to save up some money though. But if we’re both going to be working after we leave school then we’ll make it.” Moira could feel her heart aching to just go now instead of waiting till the war ended, but she knew they couldn’t. It was a strange feeling, not having everything planned out. Planning had always been one of Moira’s strengths, and she had always known what to do with her life. Not really knowing where or when they’d go travel was a bit exciting though, she had to admit that.

Gideon held her so tight. He knew that Marlene was here because of him, because of his family. He knew how close she had been to his mum and he loved her for that. Marlene really was like a second daughter to his mother and he knew that wouldn’t ever change even now that she wasn’t here anymore. “Thank you.” He muttered and leaned against her as they went into the photoalbum. 

He smiled softly and nodded. “I do too, I had just gotten that broomstick for my birthday and I was really happy because the year before Fabian had gotten one and I didn’t want one, but I kept stealing his so often that my parents decided to give me one as well.” He looked at the picture and smiled, watching little Gideon shoot from one side of the picture to the otherside. “God I was such a show off back then.” He smiled “You were there too, on that birthday, I remember that because it was the second or third time that you came to our birthdays and I wanted you to get on the back of the broom with me. Do you remember that?”

Gideon grinned and nodded. ‘He did do a good job placing you there, you’re smart and clever and I love all that about you.” He grinned. “We can go wherever we want to go, there’s international floos, there’s airplanes, that’s what they’re called right?” He looked a tad confused for a moment, he was learning about Muggle things slowly but surely. “I can’t wait until we get to do that.”

She smiled when he kissed her. “I suppose the Sorting Hat did a good job placing me in Ravenclaw.” Excitement was filling her body. It would be quite a while before they would get to travel, she knew that, but that didn’t stop her from already looking forward to it. “Oh can you imagine. We’ll have the entire world at our doorstep. I feel like when all of this is over then such a weight will be lifted off our shoulders and we can do whatever we want.”

“No I didn’t mean sneaking out on her.. I already know I want to be part of the Order, and I will have to go on the missions and all that, but I meant that I want her to be okay with me going out, but I know she will worry about me..” He shrugged ‘it’s difficult to make the right decision on this to be honest..”

“Is it the end of the school year yet?”

It took just that for Gideon to stop try and be strong, he leaned against her and felt the tears fall down his cheeks. He didn’t think he would have more tears left after the last couple of days, but apparently he had and all it took was his best friend to hug him. He wrapped his arms around her and held her tight, “I just can’t imagine that she’s actually gone now.” He whispered, “I know it’s better for her, but I don’t want to feel better about this..” He looked at her “Thank you for coming today, you have no idea how much that meant to me.’

The funeral had been beautiful, like his mother had been, quiet but beautiful. It had been like Gideon would’ve wanted it to be. But it had meant the world to him to see Marlene there, he had been home from school for the past week to prepare for the funeral and the fact that she’d come, made him feel so grateful.

“Pretty face.. Handsome, yes, but pretty?” He grinned and nudged him. “I was talking to Moira about this recently.. I told her that I wanted to join the Order.. Help out in the war, but I don’t want to worry her and she wants to live in the Muggle world, and I’d follow her anywhere.. “ He shrugged “Perhaps I’d be able to do both.”

“Is it the end of the school year yet?”
