Kenzie was working on studying the new plays for the seasons for the Kestrals. When she heard James, she flipped them over. "Pause, these are Kestral plays," she said to her husband. "Can't have you cheating." That part was a complete joke, Kenzie knew he'd never cheat, especially with her. Kenzie put them away and turned toward him. "Resume. I assume you're going to either give me a kiss and a coffee or tell me the babies are awake?" she said, also half teasing.

"I'm worried about Alice," Lily said, taking a seat next to James on the couch, handing him his drink. "I don't know what to do." It felt like how she felt when James was at his worst with his addiction.

Hugo's leg had been bothering him a lot that day, but he knew that he had to make it through the weekend with his family, the Weasley-Potter clan getting together at their grandparents for their grandfather's birthday. He had snuck away to the bathroom to take another potion for the pain and just massage the end of his residual limb trying to get a break from his prosthetic. When he exited the bathroom, he found James there. "Jay, Hey," he said to the other. "I hope I didn't force you to wait very long."

"I didn't think Mackenzie could run that fast in heels, but I was definitely proven wrong that night. "You will do, come on. There is a competition going on and you have to be in a couple-- or rather a pair to do it. And I want to have a go so you are coming with me." Isabelle spoke with a laugh as she grabbed the others wrist to tug him along. "That is unless you are too chicken to do it?" She teased lightly.

"So I've gotta use this line right? And it's that one over there?" He confirmed, motioning at the stranger lightly before giving Willow a low five. Sinking another shot Roman sauntered his way over to the man at the bar. There was nothing subtle about the way the dark haired male unashamedly ran his eyes over the others body, drinking him in, a wide, boyish grin on his lips before he made his play, really using what his mama gave him and playing on his accent to full effect. It was one of the best weapons in his arsenal, especially if he had to use a crappy ass line on someone. "Howdy Darlin', I just got to wonderin', are you from Tenessee? Because you're the only ten I see in this here bar."

"You really missed out on Halloween. If you had bothered to come and spend time with me, you would have found that I was carrying a bottle of absinthe around with me all night and giving out free shots." Natalya informed the dark haired male with a smirk, knowing he appreciated alcohol in the same way she did.

"Just how many times have you been tempted to touch things you shouldn't today? I feel like Halloween is probably a hazardous holiday for you given your proclivities." Leo smirked, recalling how the man had managed to get a little shock from his belongings last time he'd messed with them despite being warned. "Or have you finally learned your lesson?"

Mackenzie leaned against James, putting her head on his chest. "Is it bad that I don't want it to be 2028?" she asked. "Each year more means a year closer to our babies going Hogwarts, and doing one of these themselves. Maybe falling in love at one themselves too, just like we did."

"I'm actually getting rather good at it now. In my own opinion anyway." Freya added with a little laugh as she threw the ball for her dog, having met up with James on their walk. "I couldn't say what an actual French person would think of my abilities but I'm proud of myself for being able to speak and understand this much. I wouldn't have thought I were able to do so much a year ago. But enough about me, I heard you have new pursuits too."
