WordPress Plug-Ins / What Are They?
Hello GmaKelly here to talk about WordPress Plug-ins. There are a gazillion Plug-ins that do all kinds of things automating this and that. These are the Plug-ins I'm currently using on this site. I'm this will need to be updated, possibly Monthly. So....... WordPress Plug-Ins - What are They? A WordPress plugin is a piece of software that adds new features or functionality to a WordPress website. Plug-Ins can do amazing things to and for your Website. There are plug-ins to do and automate pretty much everything you need to keep your Website functioning and accessible. All you have to do is Install and Activate. You use WordPress Plug-ins for: - SEO - Security - Social media integration - Forms - Ecommerce - Analytics - And much more! Plug-Ins I Currently Use: Keep in mind this site is still fairly new, so there may be more to add or maybe take away. We'll see what pans out and I'll keep you updated. Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) - Google AMP Project. Makes your Website faster for Mobile visitors. AIO SEO - All in One SEO Original to WordPress since 2007, Over 3 Million users. Helps your website rank higher in Search Engines. Aweber for WordPress - Email Marketing, Landing Pages, Forms, Lists, Funnels. Automate and increase Traffic. Bing Webmaster URL Submission- Allows submission to Bing Webmaster Tools (Bing and Yahoo) Blog2Social -Manually or Auto post to Social Media Platforms (see my Review) Canva - Use full features of Canva in Edit Screen. Elementor - Block Editor, Drag & Drop Past or Post Create or Edit Google Analytics - Monster Insights - 3 Million Users, Most popular Google Analytics Plug-In for WordPress. How People find & use your Website. Google Sitemap XML - Create a Sitemap for Search Engines to Crawl IndexNow - Shares all posts & pages (create, update, delete) to Search Engines without need to register or verify site. Kraken Image Optimizer - World's Most Advanced Image Optimization Solution. Optimize WordPress images. Lara's Google Analytics (GA4) - GA4 Dashboard pTypeConverter - Convert Pages to Posts and visa versa Site Kit by Google - Everything Google. This is a complete list of what I'm using today on this site. Nothing shady happening here, lol. I recommend these few Plug-Ins at the very least to get your site up and running with ease. My site is not a E-Commerce site so I don't have any monitization Plug-Ins. Other Plug-Ins Obviously, there are 1,000's more that I could sift thru and probably add or replace one here or there. There are other Plug-Ins that I would definitely use if the circumstance called for it. WooCommerce - Monetized sites. Comes with a whole suite of Plug-in for Social Media Platforms and all the necessary forms and pages you need for monitization. Facebook, Packing Slips, Storefronts, Carts, Paypal, etc. WordPress has many conveniences built into it including Landing Pages, WPForms, WPCodes, etc. As you know, I'm still learning, On the Job Training, and I'm still listening to every bit of advice and information I can get from Articles and Videos. If your part of a Program, it more than likely has a list of Plug-Ins they recommend, if not, they should have a Chat room where you can ask questions and get advice. Keep in Mind that not all Plug-Ins are Good Plug-Ins for Your Site A few months ago I installed a particular Plug-In, I honestly don't remember the name, but it lockced up my site. Thank God for the Best Site Support in history, it was fixed quickly. But still causes us to pause, and reminds us to review everything you do. Your Theme can cause a Plug-In to flip out. or the other way around. I installed a Plug-In that my Theme was not compatible with. Of course I didn't know that till I did it. So on the soft side: Mine was fixed within 30 minutes or less. So if you have good Site Support no Problem. Final Thoughts As with everything Online or in the world, research the plug-ins and/or consult an expert. Even with the best advice and research things can still go wrong, be sure to back up your site before making any major changes. I hoped you found this Post helpful, and educational in a few of the WordPress Plug-Ins. As I said these are the Plug-Ins that I currently use. Each change to your Site creates a new piece of the Vision you have of your success. Plug-Ins are big part of that. If you have questions or comments or maybe your own Plug-In suggestion, please leave it below. I'm looking forward to having a conversation with you. Thank you for sharing your time with me. Creating A Creative Blog Name
Hello and How is your day? GmaKelly here with some Creative ways to name your Blog. I found a fountain of information on Creating a Creative Blog Name. I love it, wish I had found this when I named mine. This makes it so much fun to come up with a name that you can be proud of for years to come. Creating a Blog Name Determine Brand Value You already have determined your Niche and probably some Keywords. You want your Blog Name to be relevant to your Niche. Something that has visibility, and it relatable to you, meaning when they see the name they see your Blog or Product. Identify Target Audience Along with identifying your Niche, you should have also identified your Target Audience. You want your Blog Name to be a recognized term for that demographic. ie: someone that is 50 yrs old will not have the same understanding of someone that is 25. Brainstorm Potential Names Make a list of all the Names you can think of. Even the ones that are just stupid. Don't laugh, stranger things have happened. Take that list and run them through Google, see what's available, what's taken, what is similar. Check a Niche Research Tool and compare the result Is the Name Available: When you settle on 2 or 3 names you want to make sure those names are available as a Blog Name or even a Domain Name. You don't want to end up promoting someone else's site, Test It! Test it by asking your friends, co-workers and anyone else whose opinion you value, how do they like the name for this product or service. Roll around in your mind. Is it easy to say, spell, is it memorable? Put Brand Everywhere! Once you have established your Blog Name or Domain Name, you will still need a Logo. Your Brand includes not only the Blog Name but also the Logo. They both need to be memorable and connected to your Niche. Then spread that EVERYWHERE you can, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, etc. You want to get as much exposure as possible. Post your Blog regularly to all these sites. It not only expands your exposure but it also breeds trust with your readers. See my Post:Building Your Money Making Brand Ways to Create Crazy Names I looked up some Creative Names On-line and came up with this list: (note: According to Kinsta.com these are live sites, so none of these are available). Unique Names - Arctic Wolf Network - (security) - Purple Mango (multiple businesses) - Blue Kite Website Solutions - The Maroon Door (restaurant) - Unchained Carrot (market) Use or Make-up Words - Intrepid - Adventurous (travel marketing) - Defendify - security - Kaboom Fireworks - Wanderer - travel - Semi Colon Bookstore Use an Idiom, Adage or Common Phrase - When Pigs Fly - food - Light As A Feather - health - To Each Their Own - beauty - Bent Out of Shape - jewelry - Soft As A Grape - clothing Something Epic - Atlantis Sports Club - Titan Alarm - Jarvis Surgical Catchy Business Name - Combine Words - Groupon - Omnilert - Securiteam - Intelivision Rhyming - cognitive memory key influencer - 7-Eleven - Hobby Lobby - ElemenOPillows - The KnickKnack Shack Miscellaneous Naming Suggestions: - Use your Focus Keyword or 2 and string words together, create your own word. - Use your Own name - best if you have already have a following - Use a Thesaurus - find like words ie: Target - Bullseye - Use Alliteration - ie: Starbucks Stories - Use Acronyms or Abbreviation - ie: NASA, AARP, - Portmanteau (2 words added together) ie: Labradoodle - can be confusing - Common Saying - - Words in Another Language - ie: Blog de Pelis - Choose a Random Name - ie: The AV Club - movie reviews - Check Competitors Names - ie: Allstate has an Allstate Blog Final Thoughts There are over 600M Blogs posted daily around the World, standing out will be difficult. But keep your Niche and Target Audience in mind and that narrows down the target quite a bit. Naming your Blog or Domain can be a daunting task for some. You have to take so many different factors into account. I hope you enjoyed this post. I was amazed at some of the options to come up with names that I never thought to consider. An Audience of One
Hello GmaKelly and I want to talk to you about An Audience of One? How do you write, how to pick your topics and who is your Audience? An Audience of One I read some articles today while doing some research and came across this term. "Engage one audience, deliver one message and craft one call to action". Then I found a new term "An Audience of One", and a bell went off. If you Engage an Audience of One, Create a Message for that Audience of One, and have One Call To Action directed at that same Audience of One, would your message go further? Instead of trying to be All Things to All People and Answer all the Questions in a Topic in One Post. Just write for One Person, One Message, One CTA. If your friend comes to you with a problem, your going to sit and talk to him/her about the problem. You might give him advice or refer him to another friend. But your not going to address a group of people to resolve your friends problem. Make Your Message Relatable to One Person Even if you have 100's or 1,000's of followers they are all just one individual with individual problems. Write like your sitting down with a cup of coffee and having a conversation. Show pics and videos, give steps one at a time, one on one connection. It will feel good to you and to the reader. When speaking to a group or large audience, your topic can become so generalized that you lose the focus. If you write a conversation with one person you can hone in on that one piece and expand on it more intimately. Share your experience, share your frustration, share your opinion, share your solution. It's all about the Conversation. Create a Conversation Think like your readers, let them know you understand their struggles. Share stories, or a memory, humanize yourself. Let your readers know your not just some Program out here writing content and spitting it out. Use a conversational tone, as if talking to a friend. It makes it more personalized and friendly., The Audience of One that you're writing to is so many people. We all end up having the same "kinds" of issues in life and work. With Blogging, it's SEO, and Views, and CTR. But all of those things started with one person. Being open and honest, even friendly with your readers will bring them back to your Blog to read your Posts more regularly. Today we prefer a conversation over a report, or statistics. One Call to Action If you address your CTA as if you're addressing one person, making it more personal and friendly. Helping each other is actually what Blogging is all about. I believe that using this strategy can improve the reach and traffic to your site. And as a result create more conversions. So the idea of An Audience of One, may be what we all need to think more about when we're writing and making offers. And never forget the Audience of One are people looking for answers to their questions. They are looking to you for the answers so be clear, concise, honest and friendly. Final Thoughts My grandson is in Syria at the time of writing. I need to write him another letter and get it out in the mail. We don't write anything of value anymore and when we do write it's a tweet or a text or whatever. I want to write valuable content, that matters to someone. I know that someone out there has stumbled putting all this together, I know I did, more than once. When you're writing keep Value at the front of your mind. As if you're Writing a letter to someone you love. Value, it matters. And I can bet you, if you couldn't figure out how to put this or that together, someone else had the same problem. Share your solution, it could save someone else hours, that's Value. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them below. What do you think of the Audience of One? I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for sharing your time with me. GmaKelly Read the full article

Best Practices Google Product Review Guide
Hello GmaKellly her to tell you about Google Review Guide and give an overview of their "Best Practices". It never hurts to listen when Google talks. They are as you know a critically important part of our Online Journey. Recently I discovered a Review Guide by Google and wanted to share with you what exactly Google appears to be looking for when you do a product Review. GOOGLE PRODUCT REVIEW GUIDE Evalutate from a User's Perspective: If you have used the product discuss your experience. Was it easy to implement? Did you have a tutorial or other instructions? Give your reader of your experience with the Product. Demonstrate that you are knowledgeable about what you are reviewing—show you are an expert: How do you Start? What is Step 1? How do you implement the product into your website? What can I use this Product for? Provide evidence such as visuals, audio, or other links of your own experience with what you are reviewing, to support your expertise and reinforce the authenticity of your review: Show pictures or better yet make a video of your set up of the product. Write a Walkthrough of the set up or the use of the product. Share quantitative measurements about how something measures up in various categories of performance. Speed Accuracy, Reliability, and Usability. Ease of Use, Did the Product produce as expected. Explain what sets something apart from its competitors. Why is this product better than another, create a comparison chart or matrix to demonstrate the differences. Cover comparable things to consider, or explain which might be best for certain uses or circumstances. Advise your reader of the Price, Quality, Features, Reputation, Customer Service experience Discuss the benefits and drawbacks of something, based on your own original research. Give Pros and Cons. This Product works great like this, not so much like this. Describe how a product has evolved from previous models or releases to provide improvements, address issues, or otherwise help users in making a purchase decision. You remember the Old Days? lol or rather what is the evolution of this Product? Focus on the most important decision-making factors, based on your experience or expertise. Is this Product something you need for your Website to Produce? Will this Aid you in Building a Better more Accessible Site for your readers or Will it enhance your ranking opportunities with Google and other Search Engines? Describe key choices in how a product has been designed and their effect on the users beyond what the manufacturer says. Have you discovered any littler nuances that the Product can by used for? Out of the Box ideas. Include links to other useful resources (your own or from other sites) to help a reader make a decision. We allready know this one. Links internal / external. When recommending something as the best overall or the best for a certain purpose, include why you consider it the best, with first-hand supporting evidence. If you recommend a GOAT Product (Greatest of All Time) you need to add the back up information to show why you have given them the GOAT honor. Ensure there is enough useful content in your ranked lists for them to stand on their own, even if you choose to write separate in-depth single reviews. This is still a product of your Blog and as such will need to meet all the usual SEO meteres and rules. Always follow the best SEO Guidelines. Final Thoughts I have written a few reviews and I have to admit I'm not sure they all answer the above questions. However Google states that if you should follow as much of the above practices as possible. So maybe you don't know the evolution of the Product, move on. These are not Rules but Guidelines. Use what you can don't worry about what you can't. Our Ulitimate Goal in writing a Review is to advise the reader of our opinion of the Product. Should they Buy? Why not? What are the drawbacks? Is there a Free Trial? Be sure your giving your readers YOUR GOAT experience. And as always if you have a Question or Comment, please leave it below, I look forward to hearing from you. Welcome! Great Things Ahead!
I'm so happy you stopped by today Hi! My name is GmaKelly, I want to work with you, help you meet not only your needs but your wants and desires as well. Who am I I'm 61 and disabled. But that doesn't define me. I have 4 daughters and 8 grandchildren. At the age of 54ish I had a car wreck that left me disabled. SSDI only pays so much. My kids were paying my rent, buying my meds and most of my food. It was a horrible feeling. So I started looking online for way to supplement my income. Then after reading page after page after page of all these different programs. Getting insights here and there. Getting a feel for what's legitimate and maybe not so much. Then I found Wealthy Affiliate UPDATE: 3-27-23 I am currently at the end of my 3rd month, and still learning so much. I have approximately 38 Posts online. I'm really excited about this opportunity. Please feel free to read any of my other Posts to get a better feel of what Blogging for Money can involve. I did my Due Diligence and searched them out everywhere I could find. I don't remember finding anything bad about them, the sign up was free and they would teach me to build a website. So what have I got to lose. So I took that first step. I set up my account and logged into the training. Sometimes it felt confusing, but Kyle (One of the Founders) walked me through each step with video lessons. So I was able to follow along fairly easily, or watch the video again, and maybe again. But with the Lessons in the Bootcamp it got easier and easier. Then I went to the Search Bar and started reading and watching videos, learning as much as I could. Making little upgrades to my website here and there. Rolling this back, Adding this in. Its an ongoing effort. I'll be honest I have worked diligenty since the day I signed up. About 1 month in I realized I had mad a grave error with some of my posts and had to remove 10 posts from my site. And then I took a different route forward. I took a break from Posting. I wrote as many posts (over 600 words, several over 800) as I coud come up with. Leaving me with an Inventory of Posts to publish. Having the Backlog of Posts, takes the pressure off of having to have something to post tonight. Always preparing new posts to replace those I posted. Post 3 Write 3. ( I did get off track on this, but I am working diligently to get back to that place). That is what happens when you procrastinate. Lesson learned everyday. So I posted at minimum 3 days a week and usually 5. I purchassed Blog2Social in order to share my posts to my groups. I currently have around 38 Posts online and have a couple I could post with some review and upgrading. Im very proud of my progress so far. I've come along way from where this Journey started and I still have a long way to go. But with this amazing program and the awesome people, I will do this and now I'm on my way to my success in life. I wanted to bring Wealthy Affiliate to as many people as possible so that we can move together as a group into our better lives. We can feel forgotten sometimes, I understand that, but the community and feeling of acceptance here is just so Heart Warming, Welcoming, and Every Person you talk to wants you to succeed and are there to answer any questions you have 24/7/365. I kid you not. I can log in a 2am, 3:30am Midnite, Noon, 7am, it doesn't matter someone is there to help you. How do I do this? I do this with the help and assistance of all of the people of Wealthy Affiliate. I followed along with the training, even when I didn't know what I was doing. They make this so easy anyone can do it. I you would like you to work with me and Wealthy Affiliate and make those wants and a desires a real possibility, click the link here for more information. What is a Landing Page Landing Page - The main purpose of a landing page is to encourage visitors to take action. This action is usually related to lead generation or sales. Landing pages have advantages over other types of pages, including: They are highly focused. Landing pages are designed for generating leads or sales. If you want your homepage to be effective, you need to keep it updated with fresh content and information. This can be a time-consuming task, especially if you have a lot of products or services to promote Overall, whether or not you should have a homepage depends on your specific needs and goals. If you want to make a good first impression and promote your products or services, then a homepage can be a valuable tool. However, it is important to weigh the pros and cons to determine if a Home Page will work for your site. What is a Squeeze Page? Squeeze Page -A squeeze page is a type of landing page marketers use to collect email addresses from visitors. You persuade visitors to provide this info by presenting a special offer, providing valuable content, or restricting access in some way Squeeze pages can be a very effective way to build an email list, but they also have some potential drawbacks. Here are some of the pros and cons of using a squeeze page: Pros: - Squeeze pages are very effective at collecting email addresses. When done correctly, a squeeze page can convert a high percentage of visitors into leads. - Squeeze pages can be used to target a specific audience. You can create a squeeze page that is tailored to a specific group of people, such as people who have visited a certain page on your website or people who have shown an interest in a particular product or service. - Squeeze pages can be used to collect valuable data about your visitors. In addition to collecting email addresses, you can also ask visitors to provide other information, such as their name, phone number, or company. This data can be used to improve your marketing campaigns and target your advertising more effectively. Cons: - Squeeze pages can be annoying to some visitors. If you're not careful, a squeeze page can come across as spammy or intrusive. Make sure that your squeeze page is relevant to your visitors and that you offer them something of value in exchange for their email address. - Squeeze pages can be difficult to design. A well-designed squeeze page is essential to its success. Make sure that your squeeze page is visually appealing and easy to use. - Squeeze pages can be time-consuming to set up and maintain. Once you've created a squeeze page, you'll need to promote it and keep it up-to-date. This can be a time-consuming task, especially if you're running multiple squeeze pages. Overall, squeeze pages can be a very effective way to build an email list. However, they also have some potential drawbacks. Make sure that you weigh the pros and cons carefully before deciding if a squeeze page is right for you. Final Thoughts I wanted to show the differences between these 3 pages as they can be cruticial to your success. But I also know of marketers who don'ts use any of these pages and progress just fine. So I've laid out the options, What are you going to use? Leave me a comment and let me know. Thank you for sharing your time today. GmaKelly Read the full article
