Was walking the dog yesterday and found this dead juvenile boar. Came back today to take pictures of how strangely it was hollowed out at the neck

The museum has a taxidermy Borzoi! It's one of my favorite dog breeds and the mount was, once again, SO good. The facial expression is spot on

This beautiful beautiful dog skull I found on a walk today must be the best christmas gift I've gotten, I will, in true fashion of naming the skulls I keep in the garden, call this handsome young man Lowell, after,,,, myself. Sadly the second jaw was nowhere to be seen, but I am extremely happy to have just one. I am also super excited about the full set of teeth AND the general amazing condition of this skull!!

I'm on vacation, so I can't take this lil guy home, but like, vulture culture people who live by the sea, is it a generous source of bones? Because I have a feeling it's got to be right?

I forgot to update you on some of my recent finds: I found a beautifully perserved boar jaw (as seen on the first picture) and then a cow skeleton of which I could only take the skull, because it was quite far from home (pictures two through four) and the last one is a comparison between the cow skull and my older boar skull Evangeline
