Tumblr media
Experienced entrepreneur Frank Mazzola began his career in the financial services industry. He was employed by several Wall Street investment banks before he established his own investment firm. Later, Frank Mazzola shifted to real estate, particularly in industrial outdoor storage. Among many other business interests, he serves as president of Fleet Parking Solutions LLC, a fleet parking provider in Hasbrouck Heights Borough, New Jersey, that serves all sizes of fleet vehicles, including heavy-duty trucks.
The U.S. Department of Transportation classifies large trucks based on gross vehicle weight ratings (GVWR). Heavy-duty trucks are vehicles with GVWRs that exceed 26,001 pounds. Among the other vehicles classified as heavy-duty trucks are buses, cement mixers, dry vans, mobile cranes, refuse trucks, and tractors that pull refrigerated trailers.
Heavy-duty trucks have played a critical role in transporting consumer products as e-commerce experienced sudden growth during the COVID pandemic. The health crisis has changed the behavior of consumers worldwide. Consumers have turned to digital shopping, which subsequently increased the demand for e-commerce delivery. The World Economic Forum has reported that in 2020, there was an increase of 25 percent in e-commerce deliveries. It is expected that from 10 to 20 percent of this growth will remain beyond the pandemic.
According to the American Trucking Association, nearly 72 percent of all movements of consumer products in the US were carried out by heavy-duty trucks. The Global Market Insights Inc. added that the market for new heavy-duty trucks will hit $450 billion by 2027.
