so we all know about the mizumafu parallels regarding "being your true self." but i want to draw attention to the just as interesting kanaena parallels regarding "the value of your existence."
they both define their existence as the impact they have on others. kanade feels that she has hurt people before, so she needs to justify her existence by helping people. ena, meanwhile, feels like her existence is meaningless because no one acknowledges her in a way that matters.
that's because for both of them, their existence is inextricable from the things they create. kanade is her music, ena is her art, so the impact of the music and the art wholly determine how they define and value themselves.
