it honestly irritates me when people who only watch one sport say "noo you don't get it, the players in my game are different, they're not normal about their teammates, they have weird psychosexual things with their rivals, they're so fit and sexy (spoiler alert: they are the ugliest men you've ever seen)" or people who've just discovered women's basketball/hockey acting like it's the only sport that's full of lesbians. however football objectively is the most beautiful game. that's just literally true

yk how hard it is for me to not correct misinformation on posts about sports on this website full of people who don't watch sports

**yes yes it depends on the sport, yes i know the lowest levels of amateur competition are often co-ed. but even amateur women (both cis and trans, yes) will seek out women-specific competitions because they enjoy being around women! they enjoy not having to be around men! this community is a big part of the appeal that gets women into sports. is that fact so impossible to get through your stupid pick-me skulls?

and i'm not trying to whitewash women's sports as an inclusive utopia, obviously it's not. there's a lot to improve at all levels. but it's still a more desirable environment for most of us compared to being forced to compete with men

i don't understand why this site latched onto "trans women exist and therefore there should be no women's categories in sports" as if it's a progressive position. for starters most trans women athletes do not want to be forced to play with men** which under this proposal would be literally unavoidable
