I find it very funny when the Imperium of Man are like "oh no Artificial Intelligences are horrible creatures who only desire to destroy humanity and every living thing"
Because then the Leagues of Votann come and they're like:
"Oh, the Ironkin? Yeah we just treat them as equals and make them full citizens in our societies. Yeah we've never had any problems with them what are these Men of Iron you talk about?"

Part-Time Heroes ep.2:
After a very embarassing incident at work, Vicky is at her local grocery store buying the typical things for a white people taco night: Crunchy shells, ground beef, taco seasoning, guac, that sort of thing.
SCENE COMPLICATION: An obstacle blocks your way ORACLE (What kind of thing is it?): Unexpected (What does it do?) Protect
Suddenly, someone leans against one of the glass windows of the store. It looks like a young person, probably a teenager, wearing a green lycra suit with leather straps. They slump to the ground, leaving a trail of blood on the glass.
Vicky sees this and immediately rushes over to the kid. He is holding a katana on one hand, and pressing on a bleeding wound with the other, looks like a gunshot now that she sees it more clearly.
"Fuckfuckfuckfuck" Vicky's mind is rushing through all her training, trying to remember the little bit of first aid she knows "These kids, they hear about The White Eagle and think they can just become a superhero"
Healing (d4/d6, dif 5): 3, 3. Vicky fails to stabilize the kid's injuries
Vicky puts some pressure on the wound, but she doesn't seem to be doing anything. From the corner, two people wearing ski masks pull up "where is that fucking kid? He's gonna pay for what he did to Mark"
Vicky thinks for half a moment. "Am I really about to do this?" On another day, she may have walked away, but after that little encounter with Stalwart before she's feeling like doing a bit of vigilante-ing. She's also not about to leave the kid to fend for himself, she's not that kind of person. Vicky grabs the katana from the hands of the bleeding teenager, and stares down the muggers.
INITIATIVE: Vicky draws a 9, the muggers draw an Ace. Oof.
The two muggers pull out pistols and shoot at the woman they just saw grab a sword and start walking towards them
Two Shooting rolls, (d6, dif. 4): a 3 and a 4, one of the two shots hits.
2d6 damage against Vicky's Toughness of 8: Only 3 damage, not enough to cause a Wound
One of the shots hits Vicky's shoulder, but the bullet just makes a pinging sound as it bounces off her skin. Their faces go white as they realise this girl is tougher than they were expecting.
Fighting (d10/d6 dif. 5): Double 4s! The attack misses, so we're gonna spend one of the three Bennies Vicky has to reroll and... A 3 AND A 4, MISSES AGAIN!!
Vicky swings wildly and one of the two criminals barely dodges it. The katana hits the wall and splits a couple of bricks in half on impact. "She's a goddamn super!!"
INITIATIVE: Vicky draws a Queen and the muggers draw a 9.
Vicky reconsiders decapitating two random civilians in the middle of the street and drops the katana. "Time for a less-than-lethal approach" she thinks.
Fighting (d10/d6 dif. 5): 1 and 3. Are you kidding me? I'm spending another Bennie idc. 4 and 5, that's more like it. d10+d4 damage against the guy's Toughness of 5: 2+3 is 5, barely enough. What is it with these low rolls?
One solid right hook and a meaty thud and one of the two muggers is down unconscious in the ground. The other just shoots wildly into the scary lady that just sent his friend to sleep
Shooting (d6, dif. 4): Aaaand that's a 2. Sucks to suck.
INITIATIVE: Vicky draws an ace, the other guy draws a 5
Fighting (d10/d6 dif. 5): 6 and a 5. d10+d4 damage against Toughness 5: 12, a success with a raise
The mugger tries to shoot at Vicky, but she grabs his hand and moves it out of the way, the shot hitting the wall behind them. Vicky pulls the mugger into her and hits him with a knee to the stomach. The force is enough to send him flying back 15 feet into the street.
The combat is done for now, but the corageous unnamed teenage vigilante still needs to make a Vigor roll to see if he survives.
Vigor (d6 dif. 4): A 3. Oh. Oh no.

Part-Time Heroes ep. 1: Unexpected Customer
Okay, so time to start. For those who aren't familiar with solo rpgs, normally tools like Oracles are used to answer uncertain questions or to randomly generate events or twists in the narrative. It's like having your own GM made of random tables! Whenever I generate something rolling on an Oracle, I'll write it on a quote so you guys see how the narrative is randomly rolled. I'm using the One Page Solo Engine by Karl Hendricks, but I might use different ones if I get my hands on them
Let's set the scene, Vicky is at her barista job at a coffee shop, and she's just trying to get through the day, let's say today is Taco Tuesday and she just wants to clock out, go back home, buy groceries on the way back and make some tacos with her friends.
SCENE COMPLICATION: Hostile forces oppose you okay, some hostile force is trying to make sure that Vicky doesn't have a quiet shift today, ORACLE: Are these hostile forces a normal part of the job?: Yes, but... ORACLE: Are these hostile forces a customer?: Yes This gives us some options on how the scene could go, but I have a fun idea
Suddenly, someone that Vicky recognizes immediately enters through the door. It's Stalwart, one of the biggest heroes here in Silver City (came up with the names on the spot). He has hundreds of thousands of followers on social media, there's videos of him saving the day popping up weekly, he is a BIG deal. He walks up to the counter and just snaps his fingers at Vicky. "Hey, what does a guy have to do around here to get a fucking Capuccino?"
ORACLE: Is he normally like this? (Unlikely) Yes, and...
Vicky cannot believe that out of all the coffee shops in town, the greatest asshole in Silver City chose his. The guy can fly, he could've gone to Italy and bought a Capuccino there. Everyone on the shop looks very amused, he has that certain funny-asshole vibe that makes him well liked, like a twitch streamer who can punch through concrete walls. Vicky does not find him funny at all.
"Do you always go buy coffee in your uniform so people pay more attention to you? Or were you just feeling specially insecure today?"
Okay, first roll of the campaign, this is very clearly a Taunt roll. Sadly, Vicky is not trained in Taunt, which means she gets a -2 to this roll.
Taunt (d4/d6-2, dif. 5): 1 and a 5, so 3 total. That is a failure.
"Projecting much?" Stalwart replies back, clearly unfazed by Vicky's attempt to insult him. "Just put the fries in the bag bro"
Vicky is devastated by this savage burn, and just keeps her head down and makes the hero his coffee. Everyone in the store is looking at her and smirking, a very fun place to be.
"You should've just ignored him" Says Barry, Vicky's coworker. "Could've been good publicity if a hero liked our shop"
"I know but I can't stand the guy, I'm sorry. I have no idea why people like him so much"
Barry just shrugs. Vicky goes back to the counter and gives Stalwart his drink. He's turned around taking pictures with fans so he takes a moment to realise that his order is ready. He jokes about wanting to talk to the manager and leaves without leaving a tip.
The rest of the shift goes by without much hassle, Vicky clocks out and goes on her way home.
And that's enough for this post, don't want it to get too long, if any of you want to check out Vicky's character sheet here's a link!

Solo TTRPG: Part-Time Heroes.
Episode 0: Introducing Vicky
Hi everyone, I'm Nico (he/they), known on the internet as FrayCebolla. This is going to be a fun little project, as I am going to narrate a superhero-themed solo ttrpg campaign and post it here for anyone who is interested in reading it.
The system we are going to use is Savage Worlds Adventure Edition, more specifically with the Super Powers Companion. To those of you who don't know, Savage Worlds is a setting-agnostic game that has a bunch of different supplements depending on the kind of game you want to play. I'll link some videos on the comments for those interested in learning how the game works.
For the SWADE experts, the power level of the campaign is going to be II, and it's going to be using the Gritty Style optional rules.
So, let's introduce our main character.
Vicky, part-time barista and full-time super soldier
Victoria O'Brien is a girl in her early 20s. She's average height, has short black hair, pink-ish pale skin and freckles. She's well built, has strong shoulders and a decent bit of muscle, nothing super crazy but she definitely looks like she hits the gym regularly.
When Vicky was a child, she was taken away from her parents and put into Child Protective Services. Or at least that is the cover story. In reality, like several other poor kids in the system, she was sent to a government facility where she was experimented on as a part of a top secret project to create supersoldiers. They were trained, injected with serums, put into sensory deprivation tanks, the whole nine yards.
The experiments caused Vicky to develop an energy absorption superpower. She's able to hold many different forms of energy inside her body when she's exposed to them, and can release them violently. Vicky's powers are extremely destructive and can cause heavy amounts of collateral damage if she's not careful when using them. In adition, all those serums and training have turned her into a very lethal fighter, and stronger, tougher and faster than most people.
Then around two years ago, the funding was cut for the whole program. Since the super soldiers were too expensive to keep, they just deleted all the official records, released the subjects all over the country and cut all ties.
Vicky wanted to go to the police and explain, but she was told that if she tried to tell someone no one would believe her. Worse case scenario, an actual superhero would show up to deal with "a rogue unregistered metahuman spouting conspiracy theories".
She just decided to move on and rebuild a life that was never given to her. She got a part-time barista job, she joined a crossfit gym, she made friends, all the things normal people do.
The problem is, once fate touches you, there's nothing you can do about it. Trouble will eventually find you.
Join me as we explore Vicky's story, the allies and enemies she will find along the way!
