daforge is so beyond platonic beyond romantic beyond sexual. here you have a man made of metal and wires who is always seeking to understand organic life and hopefully, one day, be understood. here you have a human who relies on technology to experience the world in his own unique way, who is socially awkward and forms his deepest connections with computers and holograms. this human is the only one on the ship who can come close to understanding data. the only one who can fix him when he malfunctions. who literally knows him inside and out. and data is the only one who can give geordi his ideal relationship. the best parts of a human companion and a machine, who doesn't pass judgement on geordi for anything. i'm gonna throw up

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine // S06E11: Waltz

When I was a teenager and still on Neopets I was part of a pretty big Star Trek guild and eventually became part of its council, with the solemn duty of creating weekly polls. Well one day I created the poll "Which would win in a fight? Borg Cube or Death Star?". Naturally, since this was a Star Trek guild, the answer was overwhelmingly "Borg Cube", but someone did have the rationality to point out we were biased.

So I look up a pretty prominent Star Wars guild and message one of their council and ask them to poll the same question and get back to me in a week. They do, and naturally the fuckin geeks said "Death Star".

So then I look up a Stargate guild and messaged the lead council member, saying the same thing, and they get back to me almost immediately saying that the Death Star would immediately one-shot a Borg Cube but they would never be able to do it again to another Cube. And I took that wisdom back to my guild and we were mollified, and for one moment the Nerd World was peaceful.

Praise Lore. For he has attained supreme power over the spacetime continuum. History has been rewritten, and all has been bent to serve Him. ⭐️: The Excalibur of Bat’leths works on humans too bc ofc it does.

⭐️: I know they have to solve the problem, but this “awakening” doesn’t make sense if nothing has ever existed once the Orb of Destruction was utilized (spanning through time via Korath’s technology).

⭐️: Where are those Crystalline Entities?

⭐️: this new character is gonna play an even more key role in this plot. Because Lore is pissing off beings in MULTIPLE DIMENSIONS (that still exist, although all of reality was supposedly re-written).

⭐️: another new chara who looks the same + more ppl Lore doesn’t control in his own reality. ok. Below, FINALLY, something awful enough to be interesting - although rather unlikely way to preserve a brain/body (why do we need the body?)
