This is a composite shot of the dummy mock up set we'be been working with while we've been in the 'Meanwhile' space in Bradford. In this shot, we've just started to take it apart at the end of todays 2nd run... It's been an exciting / sometimes scary / sometimes ace fun time. We've learnt a ton and we've built the show... But now it's time to say goodbye, because Bradford rehearsal time is over. Massive thanks to Theatre in the Mill for their support with the rehearsal space. It was a game changer for us... But now it's time to put the show on for real. We got a mention in Lyn Gardner's 'what to see' blog today which feels like a good vibe to set off with. Tomorrow we're upping sticks and getting the #freakoidplay team down to London. Get in begins on Sunday. Previews start Tuesday 19th. If you're coming, you know what? It's time to get your tickets!

Today we've been putting the final bits of the costume together. The right wig had been eluding us. But we found it today. A really lovely woman at a shop called 'Everything's Rosey' in Shipley helped us find the right one. It's scary what a wig does. As soon as this went on, Sarah's (Applewhite who's directing) face lit up. I have to say its very strange to see yourself looking like an entirely different version of yourself. Like you've bumbled into a quantum version of the world and are seeing one of your other possibilities. Any way. Weird! But exciting. If you want to see what it looks like on, come to the show - http://www.ovalhouse.com/whatson/detail/freakoid

It's been a long job, but the million boxes that make up our #freakoidplay set have now all been constructed and fireproofed - massive thanks to Dave Holmes for taking this job on. He has been ace but we think he's glad it was over...

We're slowly building the exact set that we are taking to Ovalhouse in London, in the meanwhile space up here in Bradford. This involves a million boxes ( and a ton of fire proofing - technical phrase 'to flambare' ). We're also bringing all the live and non live portions of the show together for the first time. Today we ran the 1st half of the show. Exciting but complicated! Getting there!

Now we are back in Yorkshire the work continues. @bloodynoradj is working on the video edits / @applewhite2 is doing logistics and planning and @emmabob3 is working on a blog for 'A Younger Theatre' and line learning...

The #freakoidplay show music CD production line at director Sarah Applewhite's house. Rick Robinson our music producer was tweaking and Sarah was burning the disks late into the night. The freakoid team rocks! So now we are ready for our trip down to London tomorrow. We are giving 30 of these away at the @Ovalhouse 50 season launch tomorrow night. Excited.
