I was wondering what acid jazz was, im really curious! Sounds cool :D

Heyyy!!! thank u for asking that cause it's honestly one of my fav music genres.

Acid jazz is a subgenre of jazz which blends other genres like funk, hip pop and soul.

It's almost like fusion jazz but they're different, cause fusion mixes genres like rock or classical music with jazz. Also, most fusion jazz is instrumental.

I got some examples for you if you wanna check them out and understand the differences!

In acid jazz, we got bands like Jamiroquai and Incognito.

Meanwhile, in fusion jazz we got bands like Weather Report (where the bass player, Jaco Pastorius, also had a solo career. CHECK HIM OUT!!!) and Herbie Hancock! And as I said, they're mostly instrumental.
