I don't draw portraits with colored pencils often and this was hard! And this was actually my 3rd attempt! Freddie can be so hard to capture sometimes tbh, especially when his expressions were soft and delicate 😭 but that’s why I wanted to draw this in the first place

So sorry I didn't see this until now, but thank you very much!

I feel so lucky to have been able to see Queen + Adam Lambert as my first concert on October 18th in Philadelphia for the 2023 Rhapsody Tour. The whole show was amazing, and I really loved this moment during Brian's guitar solo when colorful planets descended from the ceiling. The atmosphere created by his playing and the visuals was quiet, beautiful, and even somewhat--lonely? I don't know how to describe it, but it was a highlight of the show for me, and I just had to draw this photo posted here to tumblr by riaaanna.

Yeah, just from the glance I got at their page, they seem to be a typically trashy, lazy Queen page that leeches off other people's content and posts bullshit. I left a comment with my insta handle asking to give me credit, but I'm expecting to be ignored.

My mom was the one who found this and was like, "Look at all the likes!", not getting why I'd be irked lol

That's mine! I posted it to my main account in 2020, before I had this account or my art instagram, which is why I didn't put my username on it at the time, either. I hate the "credit to the artist" shit because it's so lazy and does nothing for us, the people who actually made the art!

God, fuck Universal Music Group

I didn't even tag them and added no keywords, so no one could even find them unless they went directly to my account, but these greedy fuckers apparently can't stand if someone makes two bucks off fan art of a real singer, who shouldn't even be considered an intellectual property! It's ridiculous that a large company can hold the "rights" to a real person. I'd get if I were making Disney fan art and trying to sell it, but come on.

So far, they haven't removed my other Queen works. I think these ones got removed because Freddie in a crown and the yellow Wembley jacket are so recognizable (though I wouldn't be surprised if they remove my "I Want to Break Free" picture eventually, too). I only made a Redbubble and put things on there because a couple of friends told me to in the past, so it's not like I rely on these in any way or even sold more than a couple of things, it's just the principle of it that makes me really angry.
