hi! i’ve seen that you also work with tarot cards so i wanted to ask this question mostly for curiosity and also to understand more tarots!

is it possible to misread the cards because of bias we have? like we really believe in something or we have a strong opinion on someone and then when we do a reading about them or that topic we just read what we wanted to see, i mean we are still human so i think it’s pretty hard to be as unbiased as possible, right? eventually, is there a method that we audience can use to understand when someone is biased or not?

honestly i think no 😅 maybe the only way we can have is observing and making our conclusion lol.

YOU, MY FRIEND, ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT.

And it is something I try to always to about on here!!! It comes hand in hand with a lot of other different topics, especially when it comes to the generalisation of social media and content creation/consumption.

Listen, I get it. Tarot and astrology are fun. They're quirky, they're great, they have a somewhat stable foundation. They're a pseudoscience and when done right, it can be scarily accurate and thus, lures you in. So I get the popularity, the need to consume. To know more.

Now, I wish it were more about becoming more knowledgeable on the spiritual practices themselves rather than it being just about having to know the tea. There are a lot of ifs, buts and ands when it comes to tarot (more so than with astrology, which isn't that much interpretative).

Truth is, wanting the tea to be spilt, comes with a lot of attention and a point blank period opportunity to get attention on social media. It isn't that hard to just- you know, order a deck on Amazon, use its booklet for interpretations, ask a question and just- pull a set of cards from it, write something up, post it online and stir some things. Right?

Whereas CREATING CONTENT RESPONSIBLY should be a MUST, I truly believe that the way to fill the gaps and not create a hostile environment within the spiritual community online is RESPONSIBLE CONTENT CONSUMPTION.

I actually tackle all of this in one of my intro to tarot courses (which have yet to come back) and I'll probably create one that isn't that much about reading tarot but consuming its content. YES, readers 100% have a bias when reading!!!

But also, YES, it is our job to get rid of it. Now, not many people do it, because it takes time, patience and most important, willingness to admit that you might make mistakes. I'll try to give a quick rundown on how exactly it goes on before we move on to how YOU as a tarot content consumer can better approach these situations.

As intricate as the art of tarot is, it can easily be summarised as us (readers) using a spiritual tool (the deck) to access a universal answer (the answer to a question being asked) and we do this by *threading* personal energies (of those around the matter at hand) under a specific current context (especially time) and by doing this, we get to pick and choose which of the outcomes seems best suited for what we are looking for.

If you've seen Doctor Strange/Avengers Endgame... you can picture it similarly to the scenes where Dr Strange gets to see a million possible scenarios and finally settles on a specific one being 'the most viable'

The reader's bias comes into play when we are truly wishing for a specific outcome/ our mind is settled before the reading (which is why, it is extremely important to prepare beforehand/set the mood/meditate) since the 'strongest energy thread' AKA what we usually take as the most vibrant/accurate one will be the one most influenced by our own energy and it may not necessarily be the most accurate one.

As all divination methods, tarot isn't 100% accurate because they're just archetypes that are subjected to change due to a million things. But having a biased reader will most likely downgrade the accuracy to around a 20-40% in accuracy.

Now, even expert readers may be biased. Not that much, and most definitely not all the time. The difference with someone who is pretty much biased and set in remaining that way is that practised readers are able to tell when they're being biased even in the middle of a reading (eg. they'll see a card that doesn't fit and know it is out of place)

It's a pretty wide topic... and it doesn't necessarily mean to instil in you a fear of content consumption, nor does it mean that YOU have to become knowledgeable in tarot if you want to have fun reading silly little things online.

My best advice is: Don't be afraid to question things!!!

More often times than not, biased/unethical readers absolutely despise being cross-referenced (but do so politely, please)

There's this weird idea of content creators, especially spiritual ones being all dark and mysterious, vague in explanations and unapproachable, creating this sort of gap that sort of makes them seem like they're in a position of power. When!!! that's!!! not!!! the!!! case!!!.

Tarot/astrology/divination methods are spiritual choices that we make in our lives in our human search of becoming better people/nurturing more sides of our multidimensional being. And while doing so with respect and proper guidance, there isn't a reason why it should be treated as something that is only accessible to some and kept out of hands reach for the rest.

No hate just wanted to know your opinion on 1 Corithians 10:20 because ive been wanting to Pray to other Gods as well but im scared that its a sin. Tysm in advance 💙

Hey friend, no problem, I'm chill with discussing opinions. Long post in-bound with textual and contextual analysis of 1 Corinthians chapter 10.

So, the verse in question is this one:

"No, it does not; simply that when pagans sacrifice, what is sacrificed by them is sacrificed to demons who are not God. I do not want you to share with demons."

Corinthians is a book of the Bible attributed to St. Paul, who was absolutely famous for writing a LOT of early Church literature (like, 12 books worth of Biblical writings, depending on who you ask) and proselytizing to a wide range of people, even when jailed by the Romans for doing so. St Paul's goal was conversion for these people; he so sincerely believed in the mission and message of Jesus Christ that his ultimate goal was to bring as many people as possible to Heaven through his writing.

With this bias in mind, let's look at the context of 1 Corinthians 10:20. In Chapter 10 of 1 Corinthians, Paul is talking about previous instances of cultures who turned their backs on God to worship false gods and idols, and who were then punished for doing so as God "scattered [their corpses] over the desert." So, his advice to the Corinthians, who at the time would likely have worshipped the Greek and/or Roman pantheons, was to stop worshipping these gods and turn to the Almighty for redemption. He classified these pantheons as "demons."

In the original Greek text, Paul uses the phrase,

δαιμων  δαιμονιον

which, to the best translations I can find, means something akin to "inspiring force" (as in, an independent force with autonomous actions) and is used here by Paul to refer to the pagan gods in a relatively neutral sense. This word in Greek doesn't necessarily have any malevolent intention behind it, and in the text, the line about not cavorting with demons doesn't necessarily call them evil and is followed quickly by "Do we really want to arouse the Lord's jealousy; are we stronger than he is?" (1 Corinthians 10:22).

So, to my reading, Paul isn't necessarily condemning the pagan gods, but the practice of honoring them for things he believes that the Abrahamic God is responsible for, which (understandably) pisses God off. This, he tells the Corinthians, is the sin, and is what they need to stop to convert and be saved.

Now I need to note again that Paul is trying to convert the Corinthians in this letter - he has an inherent bias against their faith because he believes it's the "wrong" one. While Christians generally believe that the Bible is divinely inspired by God, I personally believe that it shouldn't be taken in a literal sense, and should instead be seen as an inspirational mythology to work with. The letters especially I take with a big grain of salt; conversion was a major focus of early Church writing - they were desperate to establish the Church long-term, after all - and so condemnation of other religions is bound to happen sometimes. I take this as human bias and error in the interpretation of the divine inspiration.

Do I personally think it's a sin to work with God and other deities? No, I don't think so. I operate on the idea that as long as you're honoring God for his role in the universe as its creator and overseer, there's nothing wrong with also honoring other deities with specific domains within that universe. It's just probably best not to give them credit for the things He does (you might use the idea of syncretism to avoid doing this - seeing certain gods as aspects of capital-G God and so on).

Hello. I am supposed to not be spiritualy connected to a friend since our argument I cut the ties with her. I did it twice and I asked my guides to also help me cutting them. I used visualization to cut them because that's what works better for me. I thought my guides did it since they acted like it worked but I keep hearing my friend's thoughts and now my guides act like I should still be connected to her but still moving on from her. Why is that ?? Do connections actually break or just lessen over time ?

Why did you do it ? Was it out of anger ? Hurt ? Pain ? Fear ?

Either it worked, but youe behavior and energy is reaching back to them because you didn't heal wounds you should havehealed,or it didnt because a part of you didnt actually want it.

During meditation, I feel a kind of energy flow in my sacral chakra and root chakra, which I can describe as a kind of trembling. Does this mean anything? Do I need to heal these chakras?

tbh i was going to at first, then i saw it getting even more messy, and too many people got involved who shouldnt have. I would rather wait a few weeks for everything to calm down and for the truth to come out without random fans pushing their agenda on twitter and purposefully misinterpreting or mistranslating stuff into what they want to happen.

Ever since i have been on bts tarot, I always said i was doind soulmates readings and not fs readings. For a while, i still anwered asks askinf for fs content, while precising regularly insisting that I answer it with soulmates in mind. Sometime last year, i realized people were not listening to me at all. They didnt read my warnings, insisted on fs readings, and i started receicving cpoy pasted asks. I need your help or recommendation on this..

Its a bit of an emergency kind of thing and the issue is..

There are a lot of problems happening in family since last 6 months..

My family suspects abnormal things like black magic because a lot of things are like beyond explanation..

We recently asked someone and they confirmed that there is something like that happening..

But our family is a bit practical and though they feel something is bad but they dont trust things..

I'm a bit worried because its affecting everyone...

Is there a way as to how we can find out and prove that some missap has happened?? Is there any steps as to we can sense something is wrong??

I mean... It's magic, it's not a virus. So it's not as if there is any scientific test. You can always as for a second opinion, from a witch, a reader, or a traditional practitionner. It is also a good idea to check in your house for mold, carbon monoxyde, and do a general health check for everyone in the family. A lot of things that seem strange or scary can just be the result of mold/monoxyde poisoning or some sort of family health issue. A good rule of thumb is check the practical before getting into the spiritual, so once that is done, you can turn to traditional or religious cleansing practices : prayers, rituals, incense, sound bowls etc.
