The lack of monologue from his side are what usually makes peope believe that he was an asshole emo , when the poor guy was literally empty inside, what madehim continue living was the despair to kill itachi and avenge his family. Something that mattered more than his own life. (because apparently for the america is cool to cal evrybody emo but ok Idgaf)..

This until team 7 came in and literally gave him life again

And this is where his humanity is mostly visible, he is torn between his fear to love and be loved. He alredy did and lost everything, what would happen if he actually loses everything once again.

That’s why bonds are a weakness to sasuke

The boy biggest fight has always been with himself. To be able to love and recieve love once again or to avenge and finally die alone and miserable?

This is the real sasuke, the precious Uchiha boy who cares and treasures love more than anyone else

I find it funny when antis use moment when Sasuke said that he dosen't have any reason to love Sakura as an ultimate proof that he dosen't care of her at all... Like he could just say that he dosen't love her, but he didn't, because that wasn't true(Although I'm not think at this point it was romantic love)But things that Sakura say before he put her under genjutsu make him think about his family, which shows us that even when he was under the curse of hatred, she was able to reach his heart 1/2

But yes I agree with you, because deep down, Sasuke still cared for Sakura and all of Team 7, and her words during the confession definitely resonated with something in Sasuke. After hearing Kakashi state how you’d only need a reason to hate someone, and after seeing how much Sakura still genuinely loved and cared for him despite the pain it was causing her to see him this way:

Sasuke likened her affection to the one he felt from his family; an affection which he deemed to be trapping her to a “failed past”, and this is rather important. When Sasuke said this, he was referring to Sakura’s genuine love for him and her desire to save him. Now, he thinks about his family before he says this, which is significant. It’s just as you said - He compares the love she feels for him with that which he felt from his family, which was genuine; not some “fantasy of love” which he had described it as earlier. Here, he acknowledges the depth and sincerity of her feelings, despite not being able to fully understand her reasons:

Fun fact, she was the one who asked Kishi sensei for an SS love story which led to him writing Gaiden🤭🤭🤭🤭

I hope SP respects her wishes and animates not only Retsuden but all three novels. I mean it would be beneficial to them, especially Retsuden, given its popularity.

The reason why many Sasuke-only fans didn't like Sasuke Retsuden is because how OOC Sasuke was. He didn't read anything like Kishi's Sasuke but rather like a version of him you would find in SS fanfics. With Gaiden, the last 2 movies, the Naruto Hiden and Naruto Shinden novels, all characters still behaved like themselves. It's also silly to ask why The Last can be considered canon but Sasuke Retsuden not when Kishi himself confirmed The Last to be part of the manga #699.5 and sold it as such

I’ll remember you said this when I reference the novels later on. Firstly though, explain to me how Sasuke was being OOC during Sasuke Retsuden. 

Because he showed that he cares about Sakura? He showed that in Sakura Hiden, Akatsuki Hiden, and Naruto Gaiden. During Sakura Hiden, he rushed back to the village only after learning that Sakura had been kidnapped, he had ignored the village’s pleas up to that point. During Akatsuki Hiden, he described Sakura as the “Spring Sunshine that illuminated his dark life”. During Gaiden, he noticeably rushed through Orochimaru’s hideout and pressed him for info in order to find Sakura as soon as possible, and he confirmed that his heart was connected to her’s.

Because he indicated that he missed physical contact? Naruto Shinden explicitly indicated that Sasuke and Sakura had kissed earlier that very day when Sarada teased him about the fake lipstick stain.

Because he stated that he often gets lonely during long missions?The guy is only fucking human.

Because he emphasised his connection with Sakura? He did that during Gaiden, and don’t even think about telling me how “Sasuke meant that he was only connected to Sakura because of his daughter”, because if you actually believe that, then I will gladly make you and everyone else who advocates this ridiculous idea look very, very foolish.

Secondly, asking why The Last can be considered canon but not Sasuke Retsuden is perfectly understandable because Kishi had supervisory roles for both works, gave his consent for the publication of both, and wrote neither. Thirdly, one of the novels (Konoha Hiden) details the events of the NH wedding, which according to you has to be canon since that was shown to have occurred during The Last. So then if Konoha Hiden is canon, that means all the rest of the Hiden and Shinden novels have to be considered canon as well right? Fourthly, seeing as how you mentioned the Hiden and Shinden novels as examples of Sasuke behaving like himself, then I can only assume that you have no issues with those works being considered canon.

So here’s a question - Why can the Hiden and Shinden novels be considered canon, but not the Retsuden novels? I’d love to hear your answer to this one.
