Metropolis.

Intersection and crossroads of cults and traditions, grown apart from their original context and shuffled into a new multifaceted meaning. Projection point for lost souls’ dreams and mirages.

Metropolis.

Community made of individual tiles, able to self-complete their existence for the sake of paying homage to their unique divinity in the majestic temple of the capital.

Blur-contoured human flows rushing forward in form of multi-coloured parades among vertical and sharp-cornered cemented geometries.

How can this marriage with the technique estrange human existence from its own ancestral animal nature, swallowing it into the narrow spaces of the metropolis?  

Which is the connection among the various urban faunas, connected to each other through futuristic communication and transportation networks?

This second issue of FrequenZine will investigate the relationships among these topics, taking as inspirations truly existing metropolis as well as places created by the fanciful minds of photographers, drawers, painters and writers, who decided to contribute to the present project, sharing with us their visions.

BODY&TECHNOLOGY

The sound propagates its waves across the atmosphere, amplifying and making them perceivable to the myriad of auditory channels that are able to perform a decoding. The image carries out its communicative and informative function disclosing the individual imaginary significations and propagating the vision. Grundfrequenz has decided to fairly focus its attention on the visual medium with the same care it curates the auditory part. The focused attention gives life and form to our parallel project called Frequenzine and devoted to our visual collaborators. Frequenzine will soon be a real communications medium, released in print and digital format. Illustrators, graphic artists, painters, comic artists, photographers and writers will be free and truly welcome to express their creativity and ideas but most important to spread their visions.

28 pages of drawings, comics, illustrations and texts about the relationships and connections between the organic body and the mechanical technology.
