Soooo - I am studying for a Bachelor in Intermediate Education. in our Module Becoming a Professional Teacher, we are exploring different methodologies and philosophies on Teaching and Learning. Today we discussed Curricula - What is a curriculum? they asked us to brainstorm our own personal ideas of what this word means before watching a video on the topic. My personal answer was- "A framework set up by a group, like the government or organization, designed to ensure the standard knowledge pf all who receive instruction based on this content are somewhat equally educated."-

the video basically goes on to define Curriculum in 5 different ways:

Plans for achieving Goals - Tyler & Taba - Sequence of Steps - j Galen Saylor - Sets of learning opportunities - David Pratt - Organized set - J Eiles & bond - purpose, design, implementation, and assessment

Dealing with Learners' Experiences -Therefore, anything planned within and outside of school is part of the curriculum, Rooted in Dewey's definition of experience-based learning/education

System for dealing w/People - Teachers are encouraged to create a system that motivates students to engage themselves, in and beyond the classroom.

Field of study with its own foundations, knowledge, domains, research, theories, principles, and specialties - People holding this definition in high regard are often concerned with a heavy emphasis on philosophical, historical, social, and cultural issues (according to the video)

Subject matter or content - organization and assimilation of material.

Based on this the Video continued on to include the characteristics of Curriculum: 1. Experiences of children 2. Content 3. System 4. Planned 5. Series of courses to be taken by the students

People often say things like how “you did your best today, and that’s okay.” And that’s often true, and your best does vary day to day but I just want to take a moment and give a shout out to those who didn’t do their best today. A/N: Thank you soo much for requesting (and don't worry about it)!! Yess I have noticed that as well, I think that gives them that good balance between people and their values (or knowledge). This does not have to be completely accurate. I just went with the sign that came to my mind first.

ESTJ - Leo

Insane charisma and work ethic. A presence that just commands respect. A little prideful but also very hilarious.

ISTJ - Capricorn

Super super hardworking and have a solid routine just for the sake of having one. Very mellow and touchy once your close to them.

ESFJ - Cancer

The one person who will always protect you and defend you. They are also super hardworking and resilient. Everyone needs an ESFJ in their life.

ISFJ - Virgo
