Anyone else notice how BTR never spoke like they were from Minnesota? From the get-go, they all spoke like Californians and I think it would've been so funny if they had an episode where they transitioned from saying words like "ope" or "holy buckets" to "post up" or "mint".
AND ALSO I THINK MINNESOTAN ACCENTS ARE SO CUTE. THEY CRACK ME UP, AND KENDALL WOULD HAVE THE THICKEST ONE.
Anyway, here's my take on how a BTR episode would like in this context.
James: I'm totally zonked right now. I got, like, no beauty sleep last night. Ken/Lo/Car: *GASP* James: What? Kendall: *sternly* What did you just say? James: I got no sleep last night...? Logan: No, before that. James: I'm totally zonked? Ken/Lo/Car: *LOUDER GASP* Carlos: *worriedly points finger at James* HE'S CHANGING! James: *shakes head and scoffs* What are you talking about? Kendall: *in panicked tone* James, do you remember when we first came here and we made a pact to NOT let this town change us? James: Yeah? Cargan: *in unison* You're changing. James: I don't understand, all I said was "I'm zonked". Carlos: *screams* HE SAID IT AGAIN! Kogan: *cradles panicked Carlos* James! James: What? What's the problem with saying "zonked"?? Logan: *rubbing Carlos' shoulder* The problem is that "word" is a part of Californian slang. James: *in deep, concerned voice* What. Kendall: You're becoming an... Kogan: *covers Carlos' ears* Angeleno. James: *brings hands to head and shrieks* Kendall: It's okay, it was just one word. I'm sure we can fix this. Logan: Yeah, it's good that we caught it this early. We don't have to put you on blast just yet. Ken/Ja/Car: *GASP* Carlos: *voice breaks* Not you, too! Logan: Wha- No, no, no! I didn't mean it like that! I just meant that— Carlos: No, I don't wanna hear it! The two of you are totally sketch! Carlos: *gasps and covers mouth* Oh, no... Logan: Aha! See? It's got you, too! James: *narrows eyes and clutches hair* Argh, what is happening to us?! Ja/Lo/Car: *bickers and points fingers* Kendall: EVERYBODY, CHILLAX!! Kendall: *blinks* Ja/Lo/Car: *snaps heads in Kendall's direction* Everyone: *screams in unison* OH, OH, OH-OH, OHHHH

If btrtv was made in the 2020s for an older audience in mind the guys would’ve tried adderall in an episode about them being too tired to write and perform a new song in some random concert Griffin dropped on their laps 12 hours before it went down and everyone would’ve cartoonishly lost their minds except for Carlos who would’ve been suspiciously clearheaded the whole time

They did Carlos so dirty on the songs, he always got the leftover verses and he never really got much of a chance to shine. He didn't even have verses on some songs, like Oh Yeah (despite the fact that he came up with the chorus for it on the show), or the original Paralyzed.

Update: Through The Dark is driving me insane.
I'm tabbing out One Direction songs on Songsterr and Walking In The Wind is such a frustrating song to tab. The time signatures are super hard to get down on paper, and it's hard to figure out everything that's playing.

I worry about James Maslow a lot. Every time he posts about going to Israel, I'm always scared that something's gonna happen to him while he's there.
i know a lot of people hate James for what he's doing, and I can't say I agree with everything he does or believes, but I certainly don't want him to die over it.
Big Time Rush without James is like One Direction without Liam: It simply does not exist. He is too crucial to the sound and to the show's image for the band to continue if he died. The band does not exist without all four of them.

I drew Caleb last year, and I still really like it (it's pretty rare for me to not cringe at my old drawings, but I definitely cooked here). He's gotta be one of my favorite characters along with Jay and Matthew.
Also story time: I first started watching the show when I was 14. We were driving to a Boy Scout field trip, and for whatever reason my friend chose to watch Big Mouth (somehow his mom did not give a single fuck about it). But I got hooked pretty quickly. It was different than any other show I'd watched, and it was definitely a learning curve seeing an animated show be so sexual. But man, am I glad I kept watching it.

#it was great seeing a character who was genuinely autistic#usually we either have a sheldon cooper stereotype or we have to headcanon characters as being autistic#but not only did they have an autistic character#the “matthew coming out to his family” arc was soooo good too#I know that there's probably tens of thousands of kids who could relate to what he went through#it's a shame that the show has such a bad reputation because it genuinely captures the teen experience in such a unique way

just finished season 8 episode 9 of big mouth and i love how at the beginning they mentioned that the viewers have often said big mouth is like the sex ed they never got and honestly? same. i've learned SOOOO much more abt sex ed from big mouth than i ever have at any point in school which is violently upsetting to me.
#big mouth gets a bad reputation but it's honestly more accurate about being a teenager than most teenage shows#granted some of the stuff is pretty gross and perverted#but the show did a great job with how it taught people about things that are seen as “taboo” or that aren't normally taught#one of my favorite episodes was the Caleb one that taught people about autism#Caleb is legitimately one of the best representations of autism I've ever seen in media#also don't spoil anything I'm only on the first episode
