Side note: In the Behind the Scenes clips where they discuss the actors, it is mentioned that Patrick Flueger (Jeremiah Hart) didn't get the part he auditioned for but Garry Marshall liked him so he created a new character just for him. It's not said which character he auditioned for, but I assume it was most likely Michael, though there is a possibility it was for Josh.

I find it interesting that the original Princess Diaries script was under a different working title yet it seems more similar to the Princess Diaries books than the actual movie we got. I wish there were a file online of the original script because I'd love to see how much stuff they changed and what the original plot was going to be.

In a Princess Diaries interview with Heather Matarazzo, Robert mentioned that apparently Garry Marshall changed Michael Moscovitz's character multiple times until we ended with the final product of Michael being a mechanic with a band. (He started off as Lilly's brother who stays in his room all day playing music. The mechanic thing was added later and there was a point where they got rid of Michael being in a band, but they added it back).

I would like to know how much more screentime Robert would've had in the original Princess of Tribeca script and what scenes we were robbed of. We also deserved Rooney music in the soundtrack, like come on how can you have a band in the movie but not put their music on the soundtrack?

A note to Hollywood: If Princess Diaries 3 circles back to the book ending where Michael and Mia get together somehow, I will have complete faith in the movie industry again and pledge to watch movies in theaters once more instead of waiting for "free" on streaming services. That is all.

Hey y'all. I haven't updated since 2020 lol. This account used to be @/midnightjagger but I decided to revamp it into a Robert Schwartzman fanpage because he's underrated and deserves more love! (Plus all the fanpages for him are like completely dead soooo).
