It's really funny that every time winter rolls around in Australia no one can afford to turn on their heating so we just pile on twenty blankets and try not to freeze to death. And by funny I do, in fact, mean sad. It's so widespread across the country that it's one of our in-jokes. No one can afford heating. Surely we should get paid enough to at least afford basic heating on top of basic housing and basic food. But I guess it's wishful thinking to even be able to afford one of those three things here.

Finished a ref sheet for my OC, Finn. Can't believe he actually has a name now lol. He's been 'Elf Guy' in my head for ten whole years. He has another outfit, too (for when he's out on adventures and not just studying at the magic academy he goes to), so I'll also have to make a separate ref sheet for that at some point. His fairy friend is also here lol, but she'll get a ref sheet of her own.

This guy has so much lore. I'll have to compile all of it into a Toyhouse page soon. I love him so much.

I think people who consider aromanticism as "basically straight" underestimate how noticeable absence can be to those around you.

Whether you're a kid in school with classmates who won't take "no one" as an answer to who you have a crush on or an adult whose coworkers have picked up on the fact that you've never mentioned a romantic partner; after enough time, a lack or insufficient amount of romantic interest will raise the antennae of friends, family, coworkers, etc... They will notice and they will speculate and they will ask.

It is impossible to meet the societal bar for straightness through inaction.
