I was wondering what your thoughts on sex workers? Should prostitution be legal or illegal?
Prostitution should not be illegal but buying and pimping people for sex should be. I’m 100% pro the nordic model on prostitution. You should read Paid For by Rachel Moran if you’re interested in learning more!

Simple question: Do you think that the "wage gap" is real and/or is significant?
I don’t believe the wage gap is real. The “women make 77 cents to a man’s dollar” statistic is the average earnings a woman makes compared to the average earnings a man makes. It doesn’t take into account different jobs, job positions, or hours worked. Women on average earn less than men because women tend to choose lower paying jobs and work less hours. When you look further into specific fields, the gap still exists, but for the same reasons. Women just tend to have children and take more time off. Therefore, the statistic is not indicative of unfair pay. All it shows is that men and women have different preferences when they decide what work they want to do.

I feel like I've sent in several asks with contentious topics that you two might actually disagree on, but all you keep posting is inoffensive stuff. Surely you can find one issue you disagree on and start discussing it. So far this blog has just been "polite agreement" and that's really not what you advertised it as.
Dude calm down. We’re both busy with irl stuff and some asks takes less time to reply to than others. We’re doing this for fun and we’re quite new with running blogs like this so you can’t expect us to get it up and running immediately. We appreciate you sending us those asks though, and we’ll get to them the moment we have time. Most of the asks we get are directed towards me only, and there’s really no point in answering those. So for all of you specifically curious about radical feminist theory, I recommend asking radfem bloggers as I’m sure they’re more than happy to answer your questions. -Mod Pink

I agree with Mod Blue in all of this, but I’d like to add that I’m very anti-war and violence, and would rather countries train their military in peacekeeping tactics rather than how to get the most efficient kills. With self-defense included, of course.  -Mod Pink
Thoughts on women being required to participate in the draft, should a draft be needed again? Or, thoughts on drafting in general?
I think if there is another draft, it’s only fair for women to be drafted as well. I personally don’t believe government should have the power to send people away to war, but if they’re going to do it again, at least make it fair. There probably won’t be another draft anytime soon, though, as there is a sufficient amount of people currently volunteering for military services (in the USA at least).

I agree with Mod Pink. College is supposed to help widen your views of the world. By living in an echo chamber and refusing to listen to the other side, you aren't learning anything. On top of that, the violence that ensues when someone like Milo Yiannopoulos speaks is a threat to free speech. I find it incredibly ironic that the people who were preventing Milo from speaking called themselves antifascists, when preventing opposing viewpoints from being said is a key component of fascism.

Possibly irrelevant, but it irks me that - especially on university campuses - intolerance of differing political ideologies is so.... tolerated? Like, at least in my home state, it's 100% accepted for uni students to put up posters that read "f*** white people" and "Conservatives need to die." Between classes I once heard students talking about how they hoped for the president's assassination. And I just... I'm fairly Liberal, but like, how is this okay???
I totally agree with this being a bad trend. It’s limiting free speech and preventing people from exploring their opinions. Radical feminists (like Julie Bindel) are very often no-platformed by neolibfems at universities as well as other public places, and it grinds my gears so much. I don’t mind people making safe spaces or separatist spaces, but the public can not be your safe space. If you have a political agenda, hate speech and aggressive behavior will not give your cause more substance. You can keep that shit to your little safe spaces with people who agree with you. I’m here for an actual debate.-Mod Pink

I love this idea. Do you think in the future, you might add more moderators for a wider range of backgrounds, ages, genders, political stances, etc?
That’s the plan! I think we’ll start looking for new mods a little further down the line, as the blog is so new right now.

As someone who believes in both the existence of sexual dimorphism (intersex not being a third gender) and also that gender are socially constructed expectations (not an identity) of how we should act depending on whether we are male or female, I find creating entire new genders completely meaningless. It’s hard for me to let a subject go without questioning it when someone is fighting for the right to be acknowledged as feeling like something that doesn’t exist and wants special protections for that thereafter.  It just doesn’t make sense and I find it incredibly regressive that my usual experience with non-binary identified people are that they base their identity on harmful gender stereotypes of femininity and masculinity, like being a man and identifying as a demigirl one day because you felt like wearing a bit of lipstick or whatever. That being said, I understand completely how someone (gender non-conforming people especially) could feel like they don’t completely fit into our rigid expectations of gender and therefore feel more like they’re without gender or a hybrid of the two. I also agree with Mod Blue about showing nb folks respect and use their preferred pronouns and stuff. I’d never debate this subject with a non-binary person or question them unless they initiated the conversation first. -Mod Pink
Debate on nonbinary genders?
I personally believe that there are only 2 genders. I don’t believe that not conforming to gender roles or not being 100% feminine/masculine makes you a different gender. That being said, I will always be respectful to nonbinary people and use the pronouns that they ask me to use for them.

I’m not quite sure what happened but tumblr glitched out and one of my responses to an ask didn’t post, so I’ll just post it here.
Q: What are your thoughts on giving reparations for slavery?
A: I don’t believe reparations are necessary today. Slavery was abolished over 150 years ago, and there are no former enslaved people currently living. It doesn’t make sense to me for people who weren’t slave owners to give reparations to people who weren’t slaves. Slavery was a horrible, horrible thing, but I don’t think reparations will do much but further divide black people and white people into these roles of victim and oppressor. That’s not to say that race issues don’t exist today, of course. I just don’t believe that focusing on past issues (especially those that occurred over 150 years ago) will help solve the modern day issues.

Your blog looks like it'll be super interesting. I'm glad to see a blog finally promoting healthy, respectful discussion amongst people with different opinions, I think both "sides" need to remember how to have a respectful debate without slinging shit at each other. I hope it works out for you and I hope you don't get harassed too much. I see you don't have anon available and I think thats a good idea for the time being :) good luck guys, really cool idea
Thank you so much! Anon is now on. Thanks for the advice :)
