I assume the puppetmaster here is Kamski? Or is it Five? I think it's Five actually, isn't it? But either option would be fitting!

I sure wish, in more than 1 out of 10 times I check Tumblr, that the images in my feed would actually load, and clicking to navigate or make a new post actually did something.

It's making me check less often, because I know I'm probably just going to end up closing the tab out of frustration in the span of 5 seconds.

Instead we're getting a 5-episode "prequel" "original story", "written" by a Hollywood writer and starring a cis white guy. (:

(In truth, I don't so much mind that last part as everyone else seems to. Dude's a good actor, so if he can pull off the character well enough... I'd love to see an enbie in the role, but I'm not aware of any good enbie actors. That's been Hollywood's issue lately, too focused on ticking boxes for the sake of it rather than scouting new, diverse blood for real talent. Especially in the writing room. Quality of content shouldn't have to suffer, we can be diverse and good at our jobs, it can't be that hard! /soapbox)

(But yeah, I'm worried about this series. A lot.)

My ideal murderbot tv series would need 5 screens to watch. I want 7 different inputs playing at all times. You only see murderbot in reflections of its own video feed. I want Sanctuary Moon playing in the background 60% of the time there's always a performance reliability measure in the corner. There's 30 input feeds from its bots. Yeah murderbot is talking to Ratthi but also a really juicy part of Sanctuary moon is playing at the same time.

Give it a couple of hours, will do final edits, TTS, all that jazz, you know the drill. :) I'll be posting a new chapter when it's up, but it'll just be a temporary chapter to let bookmarkers know what's up. Ch 42 will be edited-in-place, so that's where you'll go to read the new version of the ending.

The old one will be overwritten. So if by some unholy perversion of all that is Good and Pure you somehow want to preserve it (I cannot think why), then you should do that ASAP, because I'm yeeting it into the sun where it belongs and I don't care if it vanishes from all existence, because I hate it. I hate it so much I had to stop myself vomiting from first-hand embarassment while re-reading it, especially that last few paragraphs.

New is good. New is better. New makes me happy. <3 Read new. Ignore old.
