Underrated solangelo hc and dynamic: overprotective Nico.

You cannot look me in my eyeballs and tell me that the boy who has lost nearly everyone he cared about in one way or another would not deliberately protective over the people he has left. And, unlike most other people, Will isn’t much of a fighter. He’s no push over, but compared to say Percy or Hazel he would need it in a way they wouldn’t.

Imagine Nico getting the nickname “shadow” not because of his powers but because he’s literally 2 inches behind Will at any given time. Imagine the first capture the flag game they play he’s not even going after the flag because he’s too busy keeping an eye on Will the entire time (RIP to whoever manages to make a scratch on him, you are now on Nico’s shitlist for Life). Imagine Will going to visit his mother and Nico acting as his personal escort the entire time.

Will finds this mildly annoying until he realizes that campers (especially Ares) are listening to his advice more and arguing less because Nico is right behind him, glaring the fear of God into them every time they get snappy. Then he’s all for it and makes it Nico’s official role in the infirmary. Within two weeks the number of injured campers hits an all time low because people are 1) actually following medical advice and healing before doing more Dumb Camp Shit and 2) actually doing Dumb Camp Shit safer so they don’t have to face Nico in the infirmary again.

It’s not just a glance at food — it’s a glimpse of life pulled from the jaws of hunger, of dignity reclaimed from the ruins, of a long‑delayed hope that feels like a mother’s embrace calming a frightened child.

The world may see a loaf of bread as a commodity, aid, or a number in a report.

But here in #Gaza, a father sees a small victory over death, a mother sees the warmth of a table that has lost almost everything, and a family sees a fragile roof over a house with no walls.

Each loaf a child eats here is praised a hundred times over, because reaching it feels like surviving certain death, like pulling a life from under the rubble, like beating the flames of bombing and starvation for one more night.

This is the reality for my family, trying to survive one day at a time, one loaf at a time, one dream at a time, amid a siege, destruction, and a long, merciless war.

I have nothing to offer but this plea from the heart — for those who still value humanity, for those who can help.

Mothers in Gaza are nothing short of extraordinary. I genuinely cannot imagine what fears and anxieties they must be grappling with every waking moment of the past 19 months of this genocide.

I'm dedicating this post to four mothers who have been navigating these daily tragedies, dodging Israeli strikes while trying to provide essentials for their families.

🤍 Amal is a mother to a beautiful 2 year old daughter. Amal has been displaced multiple times and survived several Israeli attacks throughout the past 19 months. She’s adamant on providing her daughter with the basic necessities she needs, which is why she’s been fundraising nonstop.

🤍 Maram is a mother of two beautiful children, one of whom was born during this genocide. Living in a tent, Maram’s only wish is to keep her family safe and to secure their basic needs through a whole year of campaigning, yet her campaign remains very low on funds.

Her campaign was created to cover the cost of their evacuation, however, since that wasn’t successful, the campaign is now their only means to afford basic necessities to survive this genocide.

Every day I worry that my friend Mohammed Ayesh will not be able to find another meal just to get through the day. It has gotten significantly worse as the occupation has collaborated with local crime families in Ghazzah to steal over 109 aid trucks sent in by the United Nations at gunpoint. The occupation protects them and sends them to starve the Palestinian population from the inside.

While Hamas is currently cracking down on the crime ring instrumental to this teamup, 109 aid trucks stolen is a huge amount of aid that has simply been hoarded by the occupation. How sickening that they are resorting to internal proxy warfare after failing to subdue Ghazzah's communities from the outside despite the unending horrific violence imposed on them. Nuseirat is experiencing a famine within a famine. Both of them completely man-made and orchestrated by the zionist occupation.

I don't know what to do or how to help beyond asking you to donate to Mohammed Ayesh's fundraiser so that when the already overpriced aid comes back around, he can afford it and distribute it in his community as he usually does.

Amal is a mother of a 2.5-year-old girl living in Gaza. She is four months pregnant and lives with her family, her husband Moatasem, and her two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Maryam. Imagine your sister, mother, brother, friend, or son, who should be at school, with friends, at work, or at university, but instead has to hide from bombs and seek help online to save their family. Her family has suffered more than a year and a half of genocide. They are all hoping to reach safety.

My daughter, Maryam, is only two and a half years old and has lived most of her life in a war zone. She is malnourished. It is every parent's worst nightmare: seeing their only daughter starve and not being able to feed her. Please help me feed my daughter and keep her safe. No child should grow up hearing the sound of bombs. Every child has the right to food and safety. You can help give Maryam the childhood she deserves, where she can sleep in a safe bed at night with a full stomach.

The doctor showed me pictures from the pregnancy test at the hospital. It showed me that I am in my fourth month of pregnancy and need nutritional supplements and healthy food. Every day they spend in Gaza, their lives are in danger because of Israeli bombs, the closure of the crossings, and the lack of proper food and drink. Every day and hour counts. I know there are compassionate and kind people who want to help. Every euro helps. Your donation will bring them one step closer to safety. With love and hope, I ask you to give what you can. I believe there are good people in the world and I beg you not to let them die. If you can't donate, please share so it reaches those who can.

Never forget that Palestinians are not just numbers on a death list. Please, I think of each one of them, I think of their names and faces, and I know you can help them. I think of them every day. I think of the hopes and dreams they must achieve, I think of their education, their future, and the love they show as they work hard every day to get help. You may feel powerless to stop this genocide, but you do have the power to save Amal Ashour and his family.

I dream that the day will soon come when they can use their days to rest and recover from what they've been through, where they can share a meal and laugh and have their children play, instead of having to use their time to ask for help and be heard by the world. We can make this possible.

But imagine, with all those of people, how would you feel if people saw you and ignored you? You’d feel deeply disappointed, right? Or maybe you’d even wish for death.
