"So Zherie learned to fight from her pa, who was a Monk from Ala Mhigo, but he died 'fore he could teach her more than th' martial arts part an' now that she lost her magic she wants to learn to use her Chakra instead, so I was showin' her th' basics."

("I only knocked her off-balance and onto her ass, not unconscious. Should I correct her? No... I'll let her enjoy her success as a teacher, she deserves it.")

Junelezen Week 1: In Recap

Day 1: Beginning

In those spires did all begin.

(This is Ystride, for those that don't know. Pronouns: she/they; she is a demiwoman, and Khorijin and Khoride's youngest sister & sibling.)

Day 3: Plains

The wind plays over the plains.

Day 5: Ice

Ice is their blade.

(Ystride's aetheric alignment is umbral ice and umbral water, precisely like Khorijin's.)

Day 7: Death

Death trails Ystride's memories, buried guilt; three shadows amongst many looming largest.

(Ysayle is Black in the Ladies' worldline, and Ystride's direct history with them is responsible for their general appearance. Ystride themself is the equivalent of "Myste", formed from Khorijin's regrets about Haurchefant, Khorijin's lingering sentiments toward Ysayle, and Khorijin's own buried grief over all the trauma and sorrow endured over the course of A Realm Reborn, Heavensward, and Stormblood.)

My responses, crossposted here, because I realize this might be of interest to the Tumblr crowd. Spoilers for DRK contained within, technically.

Khoride (she/her) is an altersex woman. Her body is what she's chosen it to be, as she completely controls the aether that composes it; she can and will shift it around, though she favors a certain build most times. Given that she is Khorijin's embodied "Fray" (and was always extant before DRK, but repressed within Khorijin), Khoride looks at her form & womanhood as something she chooses & chose, not something she was assigned, so she feels that being cis doesn't fit her.

Ystride (she/they) is firmly nonbinary--specifically, a demiwoman. They are essentially the "Myste" that slept in Khorijin's heart, shaped by Khorijin's feelings for Ysayle and regrets about Haurchefant to take this form (hence, her hair color and her face, somewhat). So far as their gender, Ystride would essentially say it like this: "Atimes I feel like a woman, and atimes not at all. But for attraction…women." For her it vacillates between feeling feminine and just "feeling like Ystride", and "demiwoman" feels the most fitting for those times and places.

For people adjacent to the Ladies (read: just regular non-WOL OCs), we have Fubuki (she/her), one of the Ladies' collective retainers. She's native to Kugane, and is a practiced spearfisher and swimmer.

She's known she was trans since she was very young, and happened to come across a phial of Fantasia through Some Youthful Shenanigans. She's made friends with Touka, a weaver that is the other retainer for the Ladies that helps manage their apartment in Kugane.
