I've been feeling like this lately. Especially after getting back into playing Clash Royale. I haven't even been playing video games that much at all, but it's effect on mindset can be durastic. Why work hard towards goals when I can get dopamine IMMEDIATELY from a video game? To make it even worse, there's lots of productivity obsessive entreprenuership channels out there preaching toxic productivity. But it's hard to see that it's toxic because there all RICH and SUCCESSFUL. It's like that saying "You can't have your cake and eat it too" Obsessive entreprenuers are just collecting cakes but never eating them. And your average person just eats and eats cake. Never saving. I hate when people say 'balance is the answer' because that's such a non-answer that's not actually helpful. Here's how I try to think about it. If you get addicted to instant gratification activities, like video games, stop playing them, and ONLY play them when your doing it with friends. Because social interaction IS important. Video games? No. Addicted to videos? Only do it when there's an extra reward from it. Like watching only yout YouTuber friends new videos. Or only watching content that has a SERIOUS impact on your own motivation and passion. I watched all of The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance on Netflix recently and HOLY !@$% That series is AN AMAZING MASTERPIECE. I love it so much and it's been one of the most inpsiring things ever. Comment below which ones your favorite! I've been messing arouund with correction layers and it's pretty fun! I'm making a tutorial about it soon too on YouTube. I haven't been active online that much lately because I wanted to break all my addictions from social media, and ESPECIALLY YouTube. If you have any trouble with spending too much time on it, and regretting it later. HERES WHAT YOU DO. Get plugins for your browser that blocks feeds. I have plugins on firefox that just disables twitter feed, I can't see it anymore and it's awesome. If you get distracted by videeo games, then buy Cold Turkey and use that to block them from being able to run. It's worth the money trust me. ----- Anyways this month I'm gonna be making a lot of art tutorials, but I'll try to make comics in the meantime too! Tryna to make consistent posts while your moving is tough!! But gotta keep going, yesterday I did a dopamine detox since my new place has no internet, and nothing to do! And afterwards how do I feel? Dissapointedly the same. Although I AM super motivated to do hard things. I'm not sure if it's due tot he dopamine detox, or just the fact that I wasn't on the grind for 24 hrs and just wanna get back to it. Either way, I'm glad I did it. I DID have some ephiphanies about life and the pursuit of constant pleasure. I recommend everybody do at least a medium difficulty dopamine detox once in their life. I know I'm gonna do it again, probably once or twice a year to help me stay on track. Now that I wrote this caption, I shoulda made a video about it! HECK. Anyone like Demon Slayer or The Promised Neverland? Well how about BOTH! COMBINED!! That's what the new episode of Art Parlor is about!! I included one of his videos at the end of this carousel!! Like usual though, the average watchtime is too low on the new episode. It's the only thing holding the channel back from growing too...
