ok i did not finish it last night because it turns out working for 8 hours and then drawing for 5 hours does reduce your productivity. but i'm in a good mood now so i'm feeling lucky

this one was really fun :D i had a great deal of enjoyment writing this chapter once i hit a nice groove. i always get the flow going whenever i get to do character interactions and internal monologues

been listening to Uncanny x Dead body mashup by GHOST a whole lot, and my brain cant help to connect it to the a guide to agony series.

the brain worms have taken over and i can ever do is fault your wonderful writting

yeah, every time i fall into a writing hyper fixation, whether it be with my ocs or fandoms, no matter what song it is, my brain WILL find a way to connect it. no matter how stringent.

i guess i’ll use this ask as an excuse to drop songs that ended up latching on to me and grabbing the kirby associations

i already mentioned this one in I Can’t Help Myself’s comment section but COME OOOOON ITS PERFECT. “They’ll control your mind, conquer your will, and manipulate your body like a toy.”?? “He chose you; he destroys you.”?!?!?? “You begin to self destruct.” “You pray it will end, and it will.”

it’s not fair

this one i ended up lining up with DMS’s planned character arc. just a nice mix of intensity and astral serenity

and i ended up tying this one to my version of MetaDede and their love arc. like this song… is so nostalgic and bittersweet heartwarming to me and makes me wanna cry (wow just like kirby haha) and it’s just so pretty and uuuuuugh. THE PAIN. THE VIDEO THAT PLAYS IN MY HEAD. ITS LITERALLY CALLED ACROSS THE STARS AND THE STAR MOTIFS IN KIRBY AND UUUUUUURDGEFWFSS. YEAH I KNOW ITS STAR WARS SHUT UP.

i have other songs too but they’re all kirby ost so like no duh im gonna associate them (that hasn’t stopped me from crosspollinating my fandoms and their osts before but shhhhhh)

it's time for episode 3 baby! filler episode that's not actually a filler episode and accidentally made me cry cuz i'm a sucker for characters breaking over the smallest of kindnesses

i finally made my first ever 2d animation, and my first ever attempt at using photoshop for animation

all things considered, i'm proud of how it turned out. it's not perfect, and ideally i'd have more polish, but i had to crunch this for a class i'm taking (because i procrastinated lol) so we got what we got

i got inspired on the drive home from work for how DMS's "Thought-Voice" would sound. ideally it would be multiple people speaking at once instead of just my baby-voice over and over again, but y'know, you do what you can do ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

the first half is actual lines i've written or will write for DMS in the fic, the second half after the kirby death sound effect is me shitposting and making references

warning for the second half: swearing and (mostly joking) references to suicide

Hi, I just want to say, I Can't Help Myself might just be one of my FAVORITE Kirby fanfics I've read. The writing is so so evocative, and Dedede finally breaking down was so achingly emotional. I may have cried a bit, something I don't often do when reading. I've already reread it once, and I suspect I will do so again.

Also I'm really liking the way you write Dark Matter Swordsman in your current fic! Guy's trying so hard to convince himself he's not a good person. I love DMS and will happily kick my feet while I read the trip yours goes down.

i’m so so happy that the final breakdown scene turned out as well as it did, that i managed to Beam the emotions directly into people’s heads

though maybe i didn’t need to worry too much. psychological horror is my speciality, i think. maybe. probably.

that bodes well for DMS, who i’m sure is gonna have a GREAT TIME :D
