Was scrolling through my page and realized I’ve never posted this guy—so, I wanted to create a proper post for him.

His design was a weird one to feel out — most online renditions make him another pony.. but idk that didn’t feel quite right for his design. I wanted him to keep his weird head shape and the carrot, and found I could best portray this by flipping his head upside down so his carrot-nose becomes more of a carrot-crest. This is hard to put into words, but I make an attempt at showing what I was going for in the first photo, on the top right. I also think it’s funny turning his hair into a tongue, implicit attitude..

I really do enjoy Lars effectively serving as Hans’ young single father and that playing into why Hans acts the way he does. Lars doesn’t know how to raise a kid—he was barely raised himself.

I also like playing into the idea that Hans mirrors Lars in his other positive male relationships—for example, in his interactions with Kristoff, toward whom he is older and more knowledgeable in terms of mannerisms.

anna has been dressed in a lot of blacks and greens which I love, while elsa clearly has the icy white and blue theming. So, I want their coats to mirror each other a bit more.
