CHAPTER ONE: KAZUMI GETS A TIM

Technical Intelligence Males, also known as TIMs, are an android created by JoyTech Industries to aid the human race. Now with all the upgrades that have become available, they are the equivalent to the newest smartphone. And today was the day i finally get one.

Three more hours at work. Serving coffee and lunches to people who either flaunt how much money they have or play video games with the free wifi. Two more hours, washing dishes and cleaning bathrooms. One more hour, everything is done and I'm just waiting.

"Kazumi!" I snap out of my impatient stare down of the clock. It was my boss, Jojo, looking at me with a knowing smile. "Sir?" My voice cracks a little. "You're excited. Todays the day you finally get a TIM." He laughs. Its a low huff but I always liked it. A simple laugh for a simple man. He held out an envelope with my name on it. "Here you go. I know how bad youve wanted this thing so i decided to give you your paycheck myself."

It felt a little thicker than normal. I opened it to see a flash of green. Is that money? I took out the check and read it. 340.63 this time. I must have gotten a lot more overtime than i thought. I took out the money and unfolded it. Jojo had given me an extra 150. I felt tears come to my eyes and before i knew it i was hugging Jojo full force. A soft thank you was all i could muster. "Go get that droid, kid."

I ran down the street. I felt like i wasn't going fast enough. Time felt faster. But i saw it. The TIM store. I stood there, looking inside. I couldn't believe i was finally walking in.

The walls were a pristine white with light pink pedestals displaying the newest TIM and TIF models. I looked around in awe at all the different customizations. I didn't know where to start. I turned around and in front of me was a cubby. It looked like a photobooth. I sat inside holding my money in my pocket. The screen lit up and a female voice sounded out happily. "Welcome to the TIM Store! I am Operator. Here you can customize and create your very own TIM or TIF android! To begin please choose whether you'd like TIM or a TIF." Immediately I chose a TIM. From there i choose hair style, voice, eye color, and more. Then came the part I've been waiting for. "Please insert a USB flashdrive with any other information you want your android to know and then choose their primary function."

Most people may think I am a pervert for this. I inserted the flashdrive with all the information i could find on romance, and sex, and pressed the significant other/lover button. "You have completed your customization! Proceed to the front counter with your ticket distributed at the bottom!" The little receipt printed out and to the front counter i went.

"Hello! Welcome to TIM. Have you completed your customization?" I nod and hand the TIF droid my ticket. She scans it and walks to the left. Theres a door with a red light on it. She taps in a code, the light turns green and it opens. Standing there, in his brand new glory, is my very first TIM. I walk over and stare in excitement. "Good afternoon Ito Kazumi. I am your new TIM." I blush immediately because the voice i chose happens to be the same voice as Sebastian Michaelis from Black Butler. "How would you like to pay for your TIM?" I hand her the envelope and she goes to the counter. It was 4,622 dollars. I just happened to save just enough money from birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas and other random holidays where my family gave me money. "Here you are sir. Your change is 13.92. Enjoy your new TIM!"

Yall. I shit you not the place where i live i have 1 neighbor and two churches. Theres a shortcut that my mom and i use to get the the next city so i can get to work but at least 5 minutes of that is what me and my friends literally call The Blair Witch Road. When we drive down that road ar night we HAVE to go at least 40 to get out because as a passenger whos i guess sensitive to this shit ive seen many a thing. I've seen the people who stare asst the moon I've seen the woman who cries i have seen the black things who watch you as you drive. It's worse because we have one specific clearing that i just cant look at. I dont think we have names for the things ive seen on this one stretch of road but ill be damned if im not relieved to see a house. Please PLEASE If you dont know about it DONT FUCK WITH IT
