I learned a no redstone way to do the card shuffling for my clue in minecraft so now i can just do what im good at and build.
Working on the kitchen- im so happy with how it looks, for the walls I did cobbled deepslate and then outlined individual stones with cobblestone. Still dunno which weapon to do, knife is already in the hall. Wrench in the billiard room, candlestick in the library which leaves 3 other weapons... im planning on doing the revolver in the conservatory, rope in the bedroom
Which leaves lead pipe
I could make exposed wires throughout the room so i can have one pipe popped out.
OH also- the way a friend helped me figure out to do the cards, was make a ton of signed books just titled "card" with the actually room/person/weapon inside. So i can just manually shuffle the cards without getting rid of any of the surprise.
Clue but its minecraft bc i cant be bothered to spend 15 dollars.
So heres an over decorated, overdone, 3D clue board that im making for me and my friends to play clue
I Currently only have 3 rooms done/half done- and ive spent abt a week on this. I'm learning chisel and bits to make parts of the game that are purely for decoration and nothing else.
I just wanted to play clue with my friends and now it has become a project I'm pouring all of my soul into- in order to play fucking clue
I'm not even that into clue. I mean I like the game clearly. But... its just clue?
But I do like my friends :) and i like random projects. So i will take time avoiding finals week to build in minecraft.
Ive also done redstone
Which I have not done before. I had to follow a full tutorial just to get the dice to work.
I tried to build my own contraption many times to my constant failure (i mean technically not failure.. they worked but the display isnt what i wanted so i kept trying till i had this via tutorial)
But the next thing im working on is the fucking card shuffler and I don't even know how im gonna make that shit happen.
Like i have some ideas- along with the accusation checker
But nothing concrete bc again.. ive never done this b4
But overall its been a fun project- i moved around the board from the original game- since well.. the exact placement of the rooms dont rlly matter. I put the billiard room where the dining hall was supposed to be bc there was a section that i could make a bar in.
This is just the time that all my socials are flickering back to life bc i have something im rlly passionate abt going on that has nothing to do with my actual art projects.
