soft reminder: when you don't feel ok, remember your negative thoughts seem more realistic and smart, but in reality they are lies and don't deserve the extra attention you give them. most negative thoughts want you to repeat bad habits and cycles. they don't save you from unhealthy habits, disappointment or anxiety, they help reinforce them. so try to only notice those thoughts as they drift in your mind: don't place any value on them. kind thoughts are hard to trust and seem fake, but focusing on kind thoughts are more helpful for your happiness.

It was almost sunrise when you had finally made your way back to the bar. You were hoping that with the late hour, everyone would already be in bed so you could dress your wound without anyone being the wiser. It was an almost perfect plan, the only one you were really worried about was Junhui, he had an annoying habit of staying up until everyone was home and accounted for. Knowing this, you had of course texted him and told him you would be coming in later, giving the excuse that you wanted to do a double check of your patrol since the Wolves had attacked that night. He hadn’t responded back but you assumed that he had read it.

You turn to the left side of the bed, fingers searching for Wonwoo’s warmth, only to find it bare. Squinting against the butter yellow light spilling from open curtains, your boyfriend seems to attract the sun’s rays. You quietly sit up and bend your knees towards your chest as you revel, again, in his beauty.

You know, without any hesitation, that you love Wonwoo. All of his mannerisms and qualities that make him up. But rare, calm mornings such as today, when he is sleepy and beautiful, is what you love most. Ribbons of pride and desire twirl inside your chest at the hard work he put into his body. His confidence has always been prevalent, but he insisted on improving himself. The desire inside you grows strong, lava heat settling in your stomach.

Embarrassment washes over you, your eyes widening when he looks up at the unintentional sigh that slips from you. His mouth curls up as he stops buttoning his long sleeve to walk over to where you are. Wonwoo’s knee nudges your legs open and you oblige, opting to squat between them. He places his hands on either side of you as he leans in, “may I?”

a/n : a little bit of domestic life here with mr jeon ++ happy comeback day everyone!! i‘m enjoying the album so far i hope you did too!!

in your life, there weren’t many things that were vivid, dynamic.

everything was set with a clear outline. you graduated with a degree your parents had chosen for you. you settled down in an apartment downtown of seoul, got a job in a company your father had recommended for you. you lived your life from nine to five every day exactly how your parents had wanted you to live.

all of it was fine-tuned to your parents’ desires.

you were beyond grateful for all they have given you. but there was a lack of colour, of taste, in your life. your day-to-day activities ran mostly on a flat curve, all in monochrome and it made you shrivel up, almost resorting to ignorance.

and that was until you met wonwoo.

you labelled meeting him as a coincidence but later he labelled it as fate, to which you laughed in his face and said,

“there’s no such thing as fate.”

“why are we even doing this,” wonwoo sighed exasperatedly, running his fingers stressfully through his hair. “we’re obviously not getting anywhere.”

you huffed at him, crossing your arms and turning away to ignore the tall male and turn your attention back to your book, trying to distract yourself.

after a few more minutes of prickly, rankle silence between the two of you, wonwoo caved, walking over to you and wrapping his long, lanky arms around your frame. you relaxed and leaned back into his touch, tilting your head upward to look into wonwoo’s dark, brown eyes.

the edges of his lips curled slightly upward as he leaned down to nuzzle his face gently into your shoulder. 

kissing him softly on the top of his messy hair, you put your book down beside your mug of lukewarm tea, reciprocating the embrace.

you patted wonwoo’s head, resting your chin on top of his. 

finally, you let out a sigh, pushing wonwoo away slightly so the two of you could talk face to face. 

wonwoo was slightly surprised and disappointed, but his face hardened at your expression as well, his heart dreading the words that ensued. 

“i know you cheated.”

wonwoo shook his head, laughing slightly in disbelief. “y/n, how many times do i have to tell you-”
