everyone else has said everything but like truly is tim trying to kill this show or sumthing…. because what the hell is going on this season i truly did not care abt any of the episodes and can not remember anything that has happened. i used to wake up at 3:30 to watch as soon as they would drop on hulu this season? i would just watch whenever i felt like it:( i can feel myself drifting from this show because i just don’t care, there was like no attention given to the characters and im rewatching the old seasons and i miss the fun silly small emergencies and the quick episodes im tired of everything being huge and multiple episodes like sure do one or two of those but bring back the fun silly episodes with character growth!!!! i miss the way the show used to be

and it isn’t even buddie canon or anything because i’ve been watching 8 seasons im not only interested in that i just want the show to feel like it used to

I don't think I even need time to sit with the finale. there is nothing to even sit with. the finale, much like most of season 8, was underwhelming and disappointing more than anything. too much emergency, not enough character story. the pacing was terrible. I mean.

Season 8 will be known as the season of what could have been. We started this season with the hope that we would pickup where season 7 left off and that we would see our fave characters deal with certain things. Instead we got: Gerrard (known bigot) be humanized over and over. we got multiple episodes of the Hotshots and Brad bullshit. HenRen and Mara got a whopping one episode (and 10 seconds in the finale)

Buck's relationship ended as quickly as it started (no complaints there), and Buck spent all of 8B being a placeholder in Eddie's home. and Eddie. god my poor baby. Eddie began the season without his son yet we never got to see Eddie really work to repair the relationship the way we should've. We saw Chris twice over FT. in 801 and 808. We didn't get to see Eddie talk to him about moving. We didn't get an in depth conversation with Chris once he was in Texas. All these things happened off screen. then in the finale, we see no talk about Eddie moving him and Chris back to LA. it's just tada! they're back! and Buck has already moved out (or is in the process)

another two parter. They killed the patriarchal figure of the show and then proceeded to give the audience three underwhelming episodes to say goodbye to Bobby and to end the season. This show will never be the same without Bobby Nash and his death was treated like it was just a normal thing that happens all the time.

Out of 18 episodes, 9 were two parters (three for the season opener) and each one was more exhausting than the last. in one season we dealt with a beenado, Athena's plane, Maddie's kidnapping, the virus/lab that killed Bobby and then this building collapse. It was just TOO MUCH. too many emergencies. too much focus on side characters (Brad, Abigail Spencer's character, etc) and not enough on what we love about this show-the characters. the found family. instead we were dealt a huge loss with Bobby's death and very little character driven stories.

It's so frustrating because we know what this show is capable of. we've seen them balance high action emergencies and still write interesting and meaningful stories for our mains. season 8 did not give us that at all.

Now don't get me wrong, there were moments I did truly love-but they were just that-small moments. Eddie dancing in his underwear, Buckley Diaz family reunion, Madney having another baby, HenRen adopting Mara, Bathena in 801-803. But when you think about these moments, they were so small in the grand scheme of things. and that's just not how it should be.

We all know where the blame lies. I don't even have to say it. This show was a hot ass mess behind the scenes. more so than usual. and it showed in damn near every episode. This season is an example of what happens when you have a showrunner who has no regard for the safety of his cast/crew and absolutely no regard for the integrity of their show and it's characters.

and actually if you are making people being upset about eddie's absence about like some sort of ship win then fundamentally you are misunderstanding why people are so upset. like, it's INSANE that eddie wasn't there. from just, a general point of view. the fact that a main character of SEVEN YEARS was left out. was not there with his family of SEVEN YEARS when someone deeply important to him died* is crazy and unjustifiable. like, it wasn't egregious because of the buck of it all. it was the fact that eddie should have been there with his family. i literally couldn't give a fuck if tommy was also there. whatever. but including him and not including eddie in a 118 main character death. eddie for whom the 118 is literally his family. who has worked with and loved and supported and been supported by and almost died with these people over and over for the past SEVEN YEARS. that's simply a terrible and absolutely unnecessary choice. and people are justified in being upset by that.

on this day i’d like to remind everyone if they were actually killing off bobby they would NOT let that leak!!!! we would have heard abt the actor wanting to leave but they would NOTTT let it leak that he was dying, this is someone’s nightmare (eddies, if im guessing. i think eddies ptsd is going to start flaring up again being back in el paso)

not to be like insane and talk about buddie right now and we all have much bigger fish to fry but actually how the fuck did we get dead character before we got Buddie canon like that makes no sense none of us wanted a dead main cast member ?!?!?!?!?? no one wanted anyone on the main cast to die we literally just wanted buddie

NEOW. if bobby was actually dead why would be via man made rat disease. why would they not just let it leak, but post a fake script making light of the whole situation. why is oliver making light of bobby dying in his comments. why is tim saying ‘no bobby’s dead fr’ in his liar who lies voice. why is peter on set for 8x17. why would they kill him in a seemingly random episode instead of the end of the season. why was angela saying she doesn’t see an end of 911 where bobby and athena aren’t together. and also. this would just be shockingly bleak for the nobody dies show. if he’s dead fr i’ll eat my words but i swear i think bobby is literally fine.
