Crowley pretending to die for plot reasons and out of stubborn spite but then aziraphale starts holding him and cradling him and sobbing like in a pieta bible painting and he’s trembling and stroking his hair and crowley starts feeling realllly kinda guilty but can’t quite figure out a non awkward time to say uhhh just joking lol

This scene has been dissected beyond anything, but…can we note that as soon as Ed nods, Stede just…falls into him? Not just falls—he lets go of Ed’s lapels, his hands relax, his shoulders drop. He doesn’t pull Ed forward or hold him in place. He doesn’t even try to do anything except let himself fall into Ed’s arms.

At the start of the scene, he’s wound tight, sitting on the edge of the sofa. He’s almost sobbing when he grabs Ed. But here he just lets Ed wrap him up and hold him, like he's probably never been held since he was a child, if then.

He knows he’s safe.

It's so important to me that Aziraphale lingered on Crowley's face in this scene, and he looked confused when Crowley looked away, despite the priest lady speaking to the both of them. He really wasn't paying attention to anything in this scene, only the fact that Crkwley was looking at him and inches away from his lips, and then focusing on the fact that Crowley stopped looking at him
