ok i've decided that no psychological horror bl will ever live up to killing stalking, so now i'm reading comedies.

i took a break from all of the dark shit and am reading Bane of My Existence and i just... it's so fucking hilarious

easily the best thing i've read in the last month, and i'm only 7 chapters in. it's pretty much only smut, which i usually don't like, but it's full of humor

profundis has a really good concept behind it, but it's executed poorly.

btw, i'm reading the manhwa for these not the light novels. it seems the light novel for profundis is much more bearable, and gives the MLs more depth and nuance than just "i'm going to fuck the MC"

but idk why rape is so common in these stories..... i feel like i'm reading killing stalking wannabes? they're just grotesquely violent for the sake of being grotesquely violent.

whereas killing stalking had a lot of emotional build up between the characters. koogi took her time with creating believable stockholm syndrome, and we're just not getting that in these newer psychological bl. :/ i want to want the MC to end up with a toxic ML bc they're both horrible in their own unique ways!!

i regret reading non zero sum, don't do it. it's just trauma porn
