I happened to come across an article with an interesting point like that 

There are no days that have us read no letters To the point of our days overflowing with letters

If you look at your phone or your PC, if you watch TV,  if you go outside, your eyes will definitey come across some letters

Day after day, letters, letters, this stream of information through letters 

"It is not good to overeat on letters”

The point is, if you eat too much food, your stomach is going to feel heavy; likewise if you read too much, your brain will feel heavy, it seems 

I see

In other words, if you do not eat for a while, your stomach will be empty and you’ll feel hungry; if you do not read any letters for a while, you will be hungry for reading

Not fasting on food, but on reading Sort of a brain detox

It seemed interesting, so I used a day off to complete this “fasting” 

The previous evening, I’d hidden stuff like books, magazines and mail that I had in the home in places where I could not see them

Wake in the morning  ↓ Want to wash my face, realize there are letters on the facial cleanser container; close my eyes, pick it up by feeling for it ↓ Want to brush my teeth, there are letters on the toothpaste.. same ↓ Want to get dressed, there’s prints on the clothes... same ↓ Pick plain clothes, somehow finish morning routine without reading any letters 

Great…

So, what can I do today? 

・Can’t read books or magazines ・Can’t check my e-mail ・Can’t watch TV ・Can’t open my PC ・Can’t look at my phone ・Can’t go outside

……

I can’t do anything……

A life without any letters to this extent is a thing removed from reality

This great invention of letters that mankind has created in the process of evolution has permeated nature and our lives

After struggling to finish getting dressed, i simply went back to bed again without doing anything

And that’s very holiday-like, in fact, sleeping twice is enjoyable; things done twice can be done thrice, so sleeping three times is enjoyable, I don’t know, perhaps I even slept four times, I’m not sure, but with these thoughts I woke up in the evening

My day off went by wasted From sleeping too much, my head felt fuzzy

I understood that 

rather than get starved for letters, you get tired of spare time

It’s not good not to do anything

There was something like that too

I was able to write the lyrics for the song 

"Sho” [*document/book etc] 

I don’t understand whether I could write this because of letter starvation

But we are in the middle of the tour promoting the album that “Sho” is on!

Motivation: nonexistent. What do I do?

...I like being honest, so why lie.  It aint that I dont have time (<--excuse no apostrophes pls, my key gave out and I do not have the money rn to go buy an external keyboard, also can not be bothered to copypaste apostrophes all the time, I apologize, darlings). I have plenty of time. Motivation is what I do not have.  I still love LIPHLICH, I am stoked as hell for the new album, fret not about that.

The format I use for twitter translations is time consuming, LIPHLICH pretty much... dont post any pictures on their personal accounts (god bless the official live pics from Boogie Cats night), and most of what they post is talking about concerts I can not attend, which saddens me, and shilling. I do not fault them for shilling, they do what they gotta do to earn money and stay afloat. Its just very dull, uneventful, and repetitive to translate, plus it brings nothing new.  Additionally, twitter posts frequently gain something between 0-3 notes, maximum of 8 if I am super lucky. Which does not do much to help me stay more motivated. 

So I wanna try and discuss solutions with you. 

Should I focus more on translating interviews, blog posts, lyrics? Which ones of these?  Should I only translate tweets that do not relate to lives and/or shilling? (Mostly Kobayan and Wataru post these)  Should I discontinue twitter translations altogether? Should I change the format of tweets not to include originals and links, in order to save time?  Should I even post photos here? (I find it more convenient to post them on my personal, since over there, more people will see them... Its still 1,642 followers vs. 45)

This is the snare drum I've been using on the acoustic & rockabilly tour. Beyond Shimano's maple. Lately I have been looking for something that makes a hard and "kin!" kinda sound, so I've mainly been using metal things, but this guy's pretty honorable. Particularly for the acoustic set, I'm looking for a more "Was it the~re" sound. _____ Anyway, green is my favorite color. Green or yellowish green over a black background is the coolest! Everyone from Hama you were amazing. It felt very comfortable. Did you enjoy the music too? Thank you! _____ If you eat potato chips along with gum, your gum will disappear! That moment of collapsing common sense is so indescribably sudden... _____ We have finished three lives from the acoustic & rockabilly tour. We have the rockabilly arrangement, but many songs are just vocals and guitar and they feel really fresh and uncomplicated. The raw feeling of each moment at the lives is also strong. Yesterday during "piropo", a chorus battle suddenly broke out, lol. I want to make it a tour that can be enjoyed freely and thoroughly. _____ During making of our next album CLUB FLEURET, I have come to like and enjoy playing drums even more. Sound post adjustment. The more I know of the insides, the more I tend to like it.

Instruments live longer than people. Especially this instrument, it sounds better the more that it is used. I wonder, how will the instruments that I played in my life do with people that come after me?

Having passed through many people's hands, I want this instrument to continue playing forever. ______ Things that get called "old" or "vintage".

"old=good" There is a tendency to say that, but in reality, we can not exactly say that about the materials of that time and preservation of the environment. Rather you could say that things that reflects the latest technology are better.

So the time spent on it creates an irreplicable personality. There is a charm to it that can only be achieved that way. ______ By the way, the sound post is a part characteristic to the instruments of the violin kind.

With the rod being stuck in between the front plate and the back plate, the vibrations from the front plate go through the sound post and resonate the back, which causes the sound to go through the entire body of the intrument.

String→bridg→front plate→sound post→back plate that is how it spreads. That is the wisdom of playing efficiently. ______ The problem is this sound post. Like the bridge, it isn't glued to the entirety of the instrument.

As it is held together only by the pressure created between the front and the back plate with the tension of the strings, during transport and such it can get displaced, or even fall out. If that happens, a repair becomes necessary, so it's important to be careful.

Fun tour start♥️ It wasn't your regular acoustic live. It's filled with upbeat rockabilly. A combination of music. _____ I'm looking forward to tomorrow. Don't think it's just an acoustic live. It's LIPHLICH's characteristic music, and having fun with music, that kinda feeling.

It's interesting because it's packed with elements of rockabilly and the fun of playing acoustic.

On September 2nd, the acoustic&rockabilly oneman tour BOOGIE CAT'S NIGHT started.

I'm happy when I can show you how differently interesting the contrabass is from the electric bass.

The way of playing rockabilly is mostly different based on the way the instrument is set. _____ I feel that the strings of a contrabass have more personality compared to electric bass strings. Although BLAST CULT strings are of great interest to me, their weak spot is being unsuitable for playing using a bow, with low string tension.

However, that unique feeling of playing is a rare gem I want to personally experience by all means. _____ August passed in a flash. Surely September will be the same.

The other day, LIPHLICH's acoustic rockabilly tour started.

It had an upbeat, boogie woogie kinda presentation and arrangement different from any other acoustic lives I've played.

It's acoustic, but it's an acoustic rock'n'roll tour. _____ Today I came across really good rubber. _____ Recently I have had more frequent opportunities to play the contrabass, so I've been improving steadily.

The truth is, the variety of strings here is much greater than for the electric bass, and so it creates the need to change the strings based on the genre.

Above all I have liked SPIROCORE's solo tuning strings, as they are suitable for playing with both your fingers and a bow, and can withstand aggressive playing.  _____ By the way, solo tuning strings are strings that are intended to be used if you want to raise the individual sounds in regular bass tuning (E.A.D.G) to F#.B.E.A..

As the name suggests, they are strings aimed at soloists. _____ The freedom of music is the freedom of expression. That passes on to makeup and fashion.

Today BOOGIE CAT'S NIGHT has started! Thank you, first tour stop, Shinjuku Glamstein. Hitting the bass drum continuously for 4 minutes like that was also a first time! It's pulsing now...! Trying to adopt this thing called rockabilly for the first time has reaffirmed the fun of music for me. Tomorrow I will woo you as well! _____ BOOGIE CAT'S NIGHT Today's Shinjuku Glamstein too. Today, we showcased mellow boogie woogie all through. Being able to play rock as strong as possible using electricity is great, and of course I do that while enjoying conversation about sound with the members to the max; I thought that it fits that nature, so let's make it the best tour. *

The acoustic & rockabilly tour started the other day. Each venue has a fancy atmosphere. I want you to listen even as you drink alcohol. Aside from regular acoustic songs, today we also incorporated songs with rockabilly arrangement, and played hardcore in high spirits. _____ Today I played with my chair around three times as high as usual. It's really easy to keep balance. Not only is it easier to see the entire place, but if I want to stand, I can stand (rockabilly has the image of playing drums while standing), and when playing acoustic, making eye contact with the members is extremely important, that becomed tension and carries on the sound. _____ In September we mostly go around with our acoustic rockabilly tour BOOGIE CAT'S NIGHT. Since it's my first time doing an acoustic tour, I want you to hear our raw sound, our more direct music in various places. There are still tickets left for Kobe and Fukuoka!

Today it's really really cold! ....thinking something like that, I stayed at the recording studio at all times and didn't really go outside. That's why I felt this gap between me and the world, .. but if /only you/ are unaware of the outside world, it's very SF-like*. Cold Friday.
