I remember you mentioned that Vegeta had abandonment issues? How do that play in your headcanons?

holy shiet that was like super long ago how do u remember that anon

i’m not an expert on the subject but i guess i had this headcanon because it follows how i picture his relationship with others? the symptoms of abandoned child syndrome (which doesn’t necesseraly implies parents abandoning an infant, but abandonment in general- in this case, losing his homeworld i guess) are a disinterest for social activites, a strong resistance toward physical and psychological affection, abnormal fear of becoming attached, and “clinginess” once the victim starts to open up to others. vegeta is clearly deadset on being independant and obviously despises having to do anything with anyone for any kind of reasons, but as soon as he grows fond of his family on earth, he’s terrified of losing them and becomes completely obsessed with keeping them safe/close to him, and starts showing uncertainty and clinginess whenever they’re involved (“do they even like me? are they going to leave me? how the flying fuck kakarrot manages to leave his family for years doesnt he understand they are the ONLY THING THAT MATTER IN THE UNIVERSE????????
