I logged into tumblr for the first time in six months to see my inbox full of people looking for advice or asking me to do their work for them.  I haven’t coached policy since the Latin America topic. I already coach damn near 80 chinese students in Public Forum these days and don’t have any time to do much else debate wise these days, which sadly includes making memes.  I’ll be returning to America for NSDA Nationals (I have seven entries in HS and one entry in MS) so I’ll see you then!

hi! I'm a policy debater from a super small school, and this is my first year. I am signed up for an in class debate and I was just wondering what a good affirmative case would be and where to find evidence for it. Our class has been using a community plan, but everyone has answers to that by now. I do use open evidence, but I've already downloaded most of the useful files on there. Are ther any other place to get ev?

When you go to a debate competition, do you know the topics beforehand? If not, then how do you prepare for a debate competition?

Policy uses the same topic all year.

Public Forum has a different topic every month.

Lincoln-Douglas has a different topic every other month.

Parliamentary/Worlds Debate has a different topic every round, with usually thirty minutes of prep time.
