BB: Heaven on Mars from last Friday’s concert (Nov 7). I wish the audio was a little better so it would be worth making an mp3 out of it. I like the live songs.
The mighty Human Kebab in Kingston, ON at The Ale House last night (19 November 2014).
Such a killer show and amazing day. Seriously, one of the best. Never take the amazing things in your life for granted. I must remember that. I love my life :)
Ubiquitous Synergy Seeker performs on CTV Morning Live.
Ash sporting a fresh haircut and Human Kebab’s turntables adorned with timbits. Here are the boys making an appearance on CTV Ottawa’s Morning Live ahead of their show tonight.
We’re all the same blood
Built in the same frame
Stuck in the same mud
Cheating at the same game
We’re all the same nerve
Feeling the same pain
Stuck in the same curve
Rushing through the same vein
Not an ideal night for photos. Here’s the two of USS I got. I have to edit my Mother Mother photos still but they aren’t ideal either. The lighting, the height of the stage and the distance between me and everyone onstage was just not the best combination. It was a weird night.
USS rocked out before Mother Mother took the stage. It seems like they have been having a pretty good tour, but that night it felt like more of a Mother Mother crowd. Which is kind of funny because they had a really good show in Peterborough in the summer and it seemed like the venue was really promoting USS for this one.
More pictures of USS (and Mother Mother) on my flickr
USS sunglasses $5 (same style Ash often wears). Not sure if they are a limited time item. I saw them at Richmond Hill, but not at Peterborough. They might have just been extras from the “This is the Fest” VIP gift bags.
Freakquency Line of Lip Balms $5 - All natural lip balms made with sunflower, beeswax and coconut oil made by sacredlotus.ca, which might have been the same company who made the Synergy Soap. The lip balm is very soft and taste good. It’s not really related to Freakquency (love and wondermint, wondermint and love), but it seems kind of geared towards girls. That didn’t stop me from getting Orange Dreamsicle. I like orange and unusual USS merch.
I haven’t seen of these on KillThe8, so they might only be available only at concerts. Sunglasses might be sold out.
Edit: The lip balm has been around at least since 2012 (thanks mgbmdri ) . Gives me hope that the soap will return. And I take back my assumptions about the glasses, who knows when and where you might find them.
Alright, I’m going through USS withdrawls even though it’s only been three days since I saw them last. I’ve completely spoilt myself with following them on the Mother Mother tour. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made though. So many awesome, great, fun, etc. things have happened. I wouldn’t trade any of it for the world.
Here’s iPhone photos from the Thunder Bay show. I keep thinking about it and even though these shots aren’t great, they make me happy. They played like that place was packed. They’re consummate showmen. Anyone that thinks otherwise are obviously delusional.
The first shot is the front of the stage before they started. It was like people were scared to stand there lol. Jay did a short DJ set at the end of the show. They skipped doing an encore, which I was kinda sad about but it was still cool. The setlist shot is actually the songs they played at the Mod Club, despite the date/location on it :P I wish I’d gotten more/better shots all around. Just kind of bottle this show and afterwards to have forever.
