What if Summer was the Grimm queen instead of Salem

Summer slammed her glaive into Salem’s chest, pushing the blade through her. Black goo splashed from the wound and onto Summer’s face. “I refuse to let you torment us any longer!”

“And I’ve told you before, you cannot kill me.” Salem gripped the glaive and snapped it with her hand. She pressed a hand to Summer and blasted her into a wall with her magic. “I dont know how you managed to best my followers over and over, but now its time for you to give up.”

Summer slowly stood back up, propping herself against the remnants of her glaive, her eyes starting to glow. “As… first captain… to the King of Vale, I refuse to back down!”

Salem sighed and rushed over to Summer, slashing her eyes. She watched as Summer dropped to the ground, screaming in pain as she covered her eyes. “Though if you wish to continue to fight, then I have another use for you.”

Summer pulled her hand away from her eyes and moved to stab Salem, pausing as she felt a hand puncture her chest. She gently reached out and grabbed Salem’s arm, trying to pull her back. Her legs shook as she dropped to the ground.

Salem smirked as she pulled Summer into her. “Since I still have a use for you, I wont let you die. Not yet at least.”

Summer groaned as she started standing up, her head pounding as she looked around the castle. She paused as her vision cleared up. “I… I can see again…” She looked herself over, pausing as she looked her arm over, seeing pale skin with black veins. “I… I dont understand…”

“You dont need to. Not yet.” Salem’s voice ran through Summer’s mind. “But I told you that I have a use for you. And now, I’ll have you.”

Summer rushed over to a nearby mirror and paused when she saw her new form. Black and red eyes where her silver eyes used to be, her skin a deathly white with black veins reaching to her neck. She reached up to her face and touched her cheek, trying to see if it was real. “I… dont understand. What happened to me?”

“Since you refused to give up, I’ve decided to make you my… avatar of sorts.” Salem’s face replaced Summer’s reflection. “Death is a waste for a strong spirit such as yourself.”

Summer glared at Salem’s reflection and slammed her fist into the mirror, shattering it. “I’m not you and I never will be!”

“If that’s what you think, then you’re free to leave the castle. But dont say I didnt warn you.”

Summer grabbed her cloak and put it over her as she walked out of the castle. The moment she left the threshold, her skin gained its color back and her eyes shimmered with silver. She walked to where she left her ship, pausing when she saw the scattered remains strewn across the shore. “My ship…”

“Seems to be no more. Such a shame.”

Summer sighed and took a deep breath, her form changing to that of a sparrow using Salem’s magic.
