Just a reminder…
Ardyn is an unreliable narrator. He has a biased agenda against Somnus who he sees as an usurper and betrayer.
Who is telling this story? Is it fact or is this how Ardyn seen history.
The episode is called Episode Ardyn after all, are we truly sure this is not a glitched version of what happened, as seen by Ardyn, that Somnus is a murderer who killed him and his oracle lover. Is any of this anime actually fact?
Look what it says in the game, Somnus went with the oracle. “He joined hands” how can he go with her when he seems to have killed her here…
At the start of the anime, did anybody notice how glitchy the anime looked?
It’s dark, it’s grainy.
Nothing is in focus and then it clears when Ardyn shows up (It’s not my Wifi. I actually checked to make sure) When the narrator comes on, its perfectly fine again, when Somnus comes on, its blury.
Also there is this part here
They seem to be in a large room when Ardyn walks in, believing he has been chosen, however when Somnus runs Ardyn through…
They are magically outside, the stairs have gone, the flame has gone, the walls have gone.
Signs of a glitched memory? This is Ardyn’s story, is he remembering things wrong?

On a day when the wind blows (Start)
T/N: Initial SSR Fuji’s character story. Bro sounded too cringey to me, so I stuck with Aniki instead.
Fuji: Hey, so you came after all.
Mizuki: Of course. You did call for me, specifically.
Mizuki: I came for my chance to completely defeat you once and for all. You’d best prepare yourself.
Fuji: Defeat? Who will do it to who… I wonder.
Mizuki: I-I will be one! To defeat you!!
Fuji: Well, good luck with that.
Mizuki: …Excuse me! I am the one who has granted you the leeway for this long. Now, I’ll show you my true strength!
Fuji: I’m going all out.
Fuji: So don’t tell me I’m responsible for your actions.
Fuji: Hah!
Yuuta: Geez, where the heck did Mizuki-san go?
Yanagisawa: “I’ve been calling him forever and he just won’t pick up, daane.”
Yuuta: I’ll look around a bit… long…
Yuuta: Ah!
(cutaway to Fuji and Mizuki playing their match)
Yuuta: I found him! …Just, uh, hold up, I’ll call you back!
Yanagisawa: “Wait, Yuu―”
Fuji: Hah!
Fuji: Interesting how you’ve lasted this long.
Mizuki: Don’t take me lightly…! I have all of your data in my head!
Fuji: Heh? I hope it’s actually right this time.
Mizuki: Grrrr……!
Mizuki: Damn it!! Wherever I hit the ball to, it still gets returned!
Mizuki: But there must be a a gap somewhere… There is no possibility that his blind spot doesn’t exist.
Mizuki: With this next one, I’ll decide it here…
Fuji: You don’t know when to give up.
Mizuki: Nfu! I see it! Prepare yourself!
Fuji (voiced line): ――Mizuki.
Fuji (voiced line): I caught you.
Mizuki (voiced line): …!?
Fuji (voiced line): ――Triple Counter: Kirin Otoshi.
Mizuki: To think that you could hit it there…
Fuji: Well? Was your analysis correct?
Mizuki: You… Fuji Shusuke…!
Fuji: Can you still hold your racket? Your hand is shaking so much.
Mizuki: Of course! This game isn’t over yet!
Fuji: Then, shall we continue? After all, you haven’t played to your limit, right?
Yuuta: Whoa… … … Why are those two even playing anyways…
Yuuta: Wait, shouldn’t I stop this!?
Yuuta: Aniki!! Mizuki-san!! Hold it!!
Fuji: Yuuta…?
Fuji: Sorry, but could you hold on a moment? …This will be over soon.
Yuuta: I can’t, sorry, Mizuki-san’s got some important stuff to do, we’re in a rush.
Fuji: … …I see.
Mizuki: Yuuta-kun…? What is the matter? As you can see, we are in the middle of a match.
Yuuta: I got a call from Yanagisawa-san about some kind of request. Hurry and call him back already.
Mizuki: …I see. Alright, I understand. It must be a very dire request to be done.
Yuuta: And that’s that, Aniki.
Fuji: … …Well, I guess it can’t be helped.
Fuji: What a shame, right, Mizuki?
Mizuki: H-Hm! I agree, of course! But we will have to leave things here for now.
Mizuki: It’s a shame that I couldn’t stay as your opponent for the entire time, but you’ll have to excuse me.
Yuuta: … …Mizuki-san, you don’t have to act touー
Yuuta: … …Geez, Aniki, what do you think you’re doing?
Fuji: What was I doing? Weren’t we just having a serious match?
Yuuta: I meant, why are you having one anyways!
Yuuta: …That feeling of that match was intense. If I didn’t stop you two, something bad might’ve happened.
Fuji: I don’t know what you’re talking about.
Yuuta: Can’t you stop the fighting for me at least?
Fuji: But I can never forgive him.
Yuuta: … …!?
Fuji: Fufufu… It’s nothing, Yuuta.
