the rose lip balm smoothly glides over the bottom of jaemin’s lip, velvety scent flooding your senses even despite the hair products being sprayed only a few feet away from you. blinking, you focus on dabbing the q-tip, and maybe it would’ve been easier if jaemin wasn’t so set on distracting you.

“you’re so pretty, y/n,” he says in a sickeningly sweet tone, eyes almost sparkling as he says it, “you know, i really like your lips as much as you do mine.”

“stop talking,” you deflect, lowering your gaze to scoop out more lipbalm from the small container in your hand before reapplying. “have to get this done before you go on stage.”

he pouts, his lower lip jutting out, and you’re sure in another other circumstance, you would’ve kissed him only a second later. it’s almost painful.

“you don’t want to kiss me?” he feigns sadness, eyebrows furrowing when you ignore him in favor of lowering his jaw and softly pressing the cotton against the corners of his mouth.

you sigh, trying to focus. “i would love to, jaem, but not right now.”

“jaemin, you’re on in three,” the stage manager calls from over your shoulder, pausing only to give you a peculiar stare when he sees how close you two are. he doesn’t say anything, though, probably figures it’s not his business, because he leaves the dressing room right after he gives his announcement.

jaemin laughs when you throw your head back and let out a groan. shutting the container of vaseline lip therapy up, you punch at his shoulder in an act of exasperation. you roll your eyes, even as he continues giggling. “not funny, i’m trying to do my job.”

the room is empty now, the rest of the group having already headed out to the stage. jaemin’s hair is a faded blue, styled with hairspray, and the corner of his eyes have traces of smokey brown. his cheeks are smooth, lips pink, and maybe you wished you could be a little selfish and continue staring at him. though, the pressure of limited time weighs on you.

“i’ll kiss you after your concert,” you say, watching as he stands up from the chair he was in.

“i think i’d like one right now.” it’s a whisper of a promise, quiet in the otherwise empty dressing room as he leans down.

kissing jaemin always feels like time stops momentarily, heat of his skin always radiating against yours. it’s soft, drawn out in nature, and the taste of his lipbalm hits you almost instantaneously. the leather of his jacket crunches with every movement as his hand comes up to cup your cheek, thumb swiveling across your skin. maybe you indulge yourself a little, because your fingers soon grip at his clothing, anchoring yourself as the sound of your kisses echoes through your own ears.

but, even though you really, really want to, you know he doesn’t have much time. your heart almost turns wistful, saddened as you break away from him.

“go. you’re on in a bit,” you sigh, wishing he could hold you for a little longer. “can’t believe you ruined all of my hard work.”

he giggles, trying to lighten up your mood with a peck to your nose. it’s domestic, soft, and your heart swells at the action. “i’ll make it up to you later.”

“yeah, you better,” you say, and almost reluctantly, you unlatch your fingers from his jacket, wishing him a goodluck as you do so. jaemin only throws you a wink, zipping out of the dressing room door to rush backstage.

from inside, you can hear the heavy footsteps of jaemin’s running, and you smile, shaking your head as you turn around to start packing up the makeup you’d used.

camille @lelenoir BEST FRIEND GOALS. she doesn’t really fall into one friend category but i think she would be the loud one. i cant help but be influenced by her all caps typing. but she’s also like the one who has an unseen side that’s more soft 💕 and gives great advice. is also very funny.

niyathi @vinmylife i would def say intelligent and slightly soft spoken until she becomes wild(still trying i will bring it out one day for sure). i feel like there’s the mom friend in you when out with certain people. you probably have the smallest difference between irl and online maybe slightly braver here.

bernice @jaetyhm at this point i’m just comparing y’all to my irl friends so i can describe the type in one word. bernice therefore gets messily organised friend who somehow gets everything done. probably also lucky, the kind that gets picked to answer questions but also catches the sweets when it’s thrown.

denise @hyucksie somehow you seem like the unapproachable but actually shy irl. idk everyone has differences between their online and irl persona and i think yours is the largest. probably have lots of acquaintances but some really good close friends.

louna @mismatchmark uh not suuuper close but the vibes i’m getting probably leans more to confused but gets it right kinda person. maybe gets flustered at some situations but ends up doing well.
