so the reason I stopped posting was because I had to keep re-editing the pics from this generation because I wasn't saving my edited pictures after posting them to insta (because why would I)... and I REALLY don't want to do that anymore so I'm either going to:

a) just suck it up and edit them to post here or b) skip to where my posts are about to be on simsta (next gen).

The skilled servant, Usta Myra, welcomed a son into the house of her mistress, Kadin Cecylia. After careful deliberation by The Sultan, it was decided that Myra should not be promoted to one of the two open Kadin positions, as befits the mother of an Imperial Prince. Given the name Bayezid, the Fourth Prince, was instead entrusted into the care of Kadin Cecylia. His birth mother, Usta Myra does not come from noble beginnings and is far more useful serving as midwife to the harem’s expectant mothers.

Godze Lucia, a concubine of Sultan Abdul bin Murad, knows she is favored only due to her kindness toward the late Third Wife. While her Dodecanese origins are known to the harem, the Godze has managed to keep one secret close to her heart; a daughter, taken from the island alongside her, now lives within the harem in the household of Helene Hatun. Unable to speak to her child, Lucia only knows that her new given name is Tasha Cariye.

In the Kefa Sultanate, the title of Cariye denotes the persons standing as a maidservant in training. Often referred to as girl servants, these sims are taken at very young ages and educated at Palace School. On occasion a girl will enter the Harem early, to be raised and taught alongside Imperial daughters, as playmates and later attendants. If given the opportunity, they could one day rise to the very top of the harem hierarchy.

After the death of Hatice Hatun, Abdul sought out the pregnant maidservant. For aiding his beloved wife to her death, Usta Lucia dropped to her knees, fearing punishment that did not come. Instead The Sultan offered her his hand, “I’m sorry I wasn’t there,” his voice was almost a whisper. “Rise, Godze Lucia,” and so she did. “I entrust you with the care of my Third Prince, as you so cared for Hatice Hatun.”

While resting, Kadin Hatice was struck down with pain. Unable to bare it, Hatice began pleading for mercy.

While tending to her mistress’ laundry, Usta Lucia, the maidservant of Godze Helene, heard the commotion and took it upon herself to aide the young Wife. Before collapsing in her pain, Hatice felt the servant’s belly and cursed the name of her husband, Sultan Abdul, and that of his sons.

When The Sultan arrived to support his beloved, it was too late. Abdul sat, watching as his wife panicked, growing more tired by the hour until the only option left was to try and save the child.

Ikbal Nana has shared with The Sultan that she is with child. Out of excitement, The Sultan renamed her: Kadin Hatice Hatun. Thus declaring her his Third Wife, unprecedented given that she has borne him no sons.

I have a new gameplay family for you, this one with a side of "story." below cut, are the descriptions of all my sims. The Murad Legacy is based off of my gameplay in an Ottoman/Persian harem themed save and occasionally historical tid-bits. It will progress vaguely through time. As of now, succession follows whoever is in power. Read below the cut, for information on our starting sims.

Sultan Abdul bin Murad of the Kefa Sultanate, Soverign of the Sublime House of Abdul, Sultan of Sultans, Khan of Khans, Bey of Beys, and head of the Murad Dynasty.

Kadin Cecylia, First Wife of Sultan Abdul bin Murad Han and daughter of Mahmoud Agha is the head of the Imperial harem and mother of First Prince, Mehmet bin Abdul Han. While her title allows many powers and freedoms, Kadin Cecylia is yet to use them. Instead, she has withdrawn from her role, angered by her husband’s choice to invite more women into her harem. The First Wife is currently expecting a second child.

Kadin Andra, Second Wife of Sultan Abdul bin Murad Han is the daughter of Hüseyin Ali Pasha, the Grand Vizier of the Kefa Sultanate. Raised to thrive as a harem wife, she was gifted into the harem as tribute while still growing. Kadin Andra has found herself head over heels, naively, in love with The Sultan. Already, she has given him a son, the Second Prince, Hasan bin Abdul Han.

Ikbal Nana is the Favorite and newst serving concubine of Sultan Abdul bin Murad. The girl is neither cunning or smart, but what her personality lacks has been made up in beauty. Her father, Osman Khair Han, is a recently reverted vassal Han (King).Spoiled by The Sultan, despite not yet welcoming a child, Ikbal Nana has become entrenched in harem life. You’d never guess how much she despises the gilded cage.

Godze Helene Hatun stands to the left, she is the longest serving Concubine of Sultan Abdul bin Murad Han. Helene is the mother of The Sultan’s third child, Princess Fatma Hatun. While friendly with The Sultan, Helene Hatun has not been visited by him since her labors.

Godze Jana stands to the right and as a Concubine of Sultan Abdul bin Murad Han, she is currently expecting her first child. Jana’s relationship with The Sultan is not one of kindness, and neither party is afraid of sharing their disapproval for the other. Though, this shows some respect on the side of The Sultan, if not for his concubine, then for their future child.

Within the Kefa Sultanate, a Godze is recognized concubine of the Sultan who is provided her own household, Usta (head-of-household), servant(s), and allowance. Most often, women are bestowed the title after consummating their relationship with The Sultan. Though this rule has some exceptions as it is up to the Sultan’s discretion. Godze are not promoted without reason; being favored (Ikbal) or welcoming a son may be seen as an opportunity for a Godze. After welcoming any child, a Godze is bestowed the surname Hatun, an equivalent to the title of Lady.

Goodbye, Vanessa.

Rest in peace Vanessa, my legacy matriarch. Vanessa was Chad’s longest friend, lifetime companion, and one great love. She was also a doting mother and grandmother, who had mastered the Parenting skill. Vanessa is survived by her Soulmate, Chad, her two children, Alis and Arlo, and her grandson, Bertil.
