Andor makes me want to write a Star Wars fanfiction but it's so scary. What if I write "Glup Shitto was sitting on the balcony, drinking coffee and reading his favourite book", but someone comments "didn't you mean he was drinking glop-goppy and reading a holo-journal? ๐คจ" so I open wookiepedia to check it out and it turns out that they also never invented balconies in the star wars universe and Glup Shitto can't read because of the freak accident he suffered in the episode 10 of the 2024 show "Jar-Jar and Babu Frik". What then.

"30 years old isn't old man" what privilege do you live in where your life expectancy is far past 30 years
This post blindsided me so bad I spent a full minute staring at it in shock

anyway sound off. at what stage do ppl think Han figured out the Force was real. the boring answer is after seeing Obi-wan vanish but i think he could rationalise that away as his eyes playing tricks on him. what do we think.

i find it a bit strange how popular the opinion along the lines of "luke should be taught that the jedi weren't perfect" seems to be in some parts of the fandom, considering luke's entire journey from the midway point of OT was in defying his jedi masters and finding his own way and making mistakes (for which he apologizes, but doesn't take back) but eventually proving them wrong. honestly, i can't find a stronger interpretation to luke saying "i am a jedi like my father before me" with his literal fallen-now-sith father standing in the room, conflicted, maybe, but with no signs of redemption yet, than luke understanding precisely how imperfect the jedi were
#maybe this comes with the territory of never placing other canon material above OT in importance#so if i see a weird piece of characterization i go 'huh strange' and forget about it#but it truly baffles me how often i see this kind of take on the character among fans#if someone has insight i'd love to talk about it ngl#star wars

"these researchers published a paper on something that literally any of us could have told you ๐" ok well my supervisors wont let me write something in my thesis unless I can back it up with a citation so maybe it's a good thing that they're amplifying your voice to the scientific community in a way that prevents people from writing off your experiences as annecdotal evidence
