Since the movie's out now, thoughts on the live action Lilo & Stitch movie? How's it fare compared to other Lilo & Stitch media (original 2002 movie, Stitch Has a Glitch, the 2003 TV show (plus its movies), and the animes)? You can answer this AFTER you watch the movie.

I'd give it a 7/10. Lilo, Stitch, Nani, Pleakly, and the Grand Council Woman were done well, but I was disappointed by everyone else.

As far as how it compares to other stuff, I'd say right in the middle. Not as good as movies 1 and 2, much better than any of the animes, about on par with the american Disney cartoon series?

So, thoughts on Experiment 625/Reuben? Given you don't mention him when talking about the TV show despite being main cast, what did you think of him and Hamsterviel?

Kinda indifferent I guess? I never really saw the point in either of them. I wanted to see Pelekai family slice of life and didn't really care about the Pokémon rip off stuff.

Thoughts knowing there's a live action remake of Lilo & Stitch happening?

Sorry it took me so long to answer this, I didn't see it until now.

My answer is cautiously optimistic. The trailer looks decent, but I don't really trust Disney much anymore. I plan on going opening day.

Help me save my kitten

My kitten Ridian was recently diagnosed with FIP. Without treatment it’s 100% fatal, with treatment there’s an 85% cure rate. He’s not even a year old yet and he’s so sweet and loving that there’s no way i can have him put down so I’ve elected to treat him. 

The problem is that it’s expensive. Really expensive. His medication is $130 dollars a week (so far, the dosage is based on weight and will go up as he grows) and the treatment lasts 12 weeks. He also has to have monthly bloodtests for 6 months which will also run around 130 a month. (I’m estimating, his first bloodtest isn’t until tomorrow).

So i’m fundraising. I’ve gone through my art history and put anything i think people may like up on redbubble

Today let’s take a look at Disney Classic storybook Collection, featuring not one but TWO new L&S stories. 

I already covered one (the one featured on the cover) it was the surf competition story ‘Ride the Wave’ from ‘5 Minute Girl Power Stories’ I showcased here.

If you ever see this book its worth picking up for TWO L&S centered stories! Its really a shame they used that title it  makes it seem the book is only full of retellings of the movie, they are all original stories from the movies.  

‘The Dog Show’ is a bit of a fusion of the series Yapper episode with L&S2 realism. 

We get a new Disney Dog character, Mrytle’s pet! BEFORE Gigi.

Mrytle’s FIRST dog before Gigi. Begs the question WHAT happened to Cashmere before the series time. Maybe Mr. Edmunds got the dog when he left?

Cashmere is NOT just a one book wonder either, you can see her in of ‘Stitch’s Day at School’ so these books have some sort of continuity!? Well at least these new ones. Still nothing about Stitch’s pet cat from Doggone it Stitch!’

Nani should be praised. She’s the most realistic Disney character I’ve ever seen. And let’s not forget she had to take on a lot of responsibilities and raise lilo after their parents died all when she was 18.
