Met with a Paldean fan today! They had a lil Pokémon called a Sprigatito! Such a cute wee mon!

They said that it evolved into a dark type... too bad ya can't get them here in Galar.

Yes! Giving an Applin to someone in Galar is something of a long-standing tradition- but it sadly tends to leave Pokemon Daycares and the like overrun this time of year with Applin whose former Trainers weren't prepared to care for 😔

How interesting! I believe I might've heard of that tradition once before. In Unova, is it? Luvdisc aren't all too common in Galar, but there's still a plethora of Valentine's merchandise based off them here haha

Reminder that while giving someone an Applin may be romantic in theory, it's never a good idea to catch and give someone a Pokemon they are unprepared to take care of! If you want to confess your feelings, chocolates and the like work just as well 😊

PSA: PLEASE do not give your partner a Luvdisc for Valentine's Day unless you have talked about it in advance, have made the necessary arrangements to support a school of Luvdisc, and are prepared to continue caring for them once the novelty has worn off. Gift Pokémon are always a bad idea unless planned in advance with the person you are gifting them to, and Luvdisc in particular are highly social and become depressed easily when not kept with others of their kind. Very few gifted Luvdisc manage to thrive.

If you wish to participate in this tradition in a more responsible way, many aquariums including the Nimbasa Aquarium offer scheduled couples photoshoots in front of their Luvdisc tanks. At the Nimbasa Aquarium all proceeds go towards the restoration of the tropical reefs where Luvdisc live in the wild.

In other news, I stopped by a store in town today that's already started selling Valentine's Day goods. They had these little boxes of chocolate shaped like Applin and Luvdisc! They were rather cute.
