here’s what i miss.

being invested in an rp. 

spending entire commutes responding to posts or plotting (and draining my phone’s battery in the process). 

plots being played out on the dash rather than headcanoned in private so that even if my character isn’t directly involved, i’m still able to follow along and feel included. 

going on vacation and though i’m on hiatus, not being able to stay away from the dash and using so much of my data i’m warned of an overage. 

staying up much too late because the dash is moving and i don’t want to miss a moment. 

almost missing my morning bus because i stayed up too late and then got sidetracked catching up on the dash. 

group chatzys and paras lasting for hours and the ridiculous plots hatched within. 

ships that aren’t rushed (or if they are, because love at first lust/sight does exist, they’re played out realistically). 

midgames. break-ups. make-ups. frenemies. surprising brotps. 

organic storytelling. 

unexpected writing chemistry with a player/character.

Happy One Year Anniversary Exchange! ✈︎ ↪ I can’t believe it’s already been a year since the Exchange closed!  The Exchange was a great RP, one that I know we will all have a special place in our hearts for.  Over the years, we had crazy tasks where someone had to tell their best friend they were a lesbian and they were in love with them, and some forcing people to hook up which actually helped them fall in love - but no matter what it was it always brought new excitement and drama to the dash.  We had the best events that managed to evolve from Laser Tag games into Murder Mysteries.  We all grew here on the Exchange, our characters and ourselves, and even though it’s over, it was a great ride while it lasted.  Happy anniversary everyone! xx

enftp ( the campaigner )

The ENFTP personality is a true free spirit. They are often the life of the party, but unlike Explorers, they are less interested in the sheer excitement and pleasure of the moment than they are in enjoying the social and emotional connections they make with others. Charming, independent, energetic and compassionate, the 7% of the population that they comprise can certainly be felt in any crowd. More than just sociable people-pleasers though, ENFTPs, like all their Diplomat cousins, are shaped by their Intuitive (N) quality, allowing them to read between the lines with curiosity and energy. Gemini’s like to tell people what they should do and get offended easily. They are great at losing things and are forgetful. Gemini’s can be very sarcastic and childish at times, and are very nosey. Trustworthy. Always happy. Very Loud. Talkative. Outgoing. Very forgiving. Loves to make out. Has a beautiful smile. Generous. Strong. The most irresistible.

air ( smart thinker )

The element of Air is attached to the signs Gemini, Libra and Aquarius. It also rules the Third, Seventh and Eleventh Houses. It is rarefied air which usually surrounds those graced by this Element, as this is the marker of the intellectual. Airy people are smart thinkers and handle abstract reasoning well. They love to analyze, synthesize and probe. Do you have a dilemma? Hand it over to an Air sign and watch them go to work. Air Signs are also about communication. These individuals want to get the word out, and it's not likely to be fluff. They are alert, curious and perceptive. The world as seen by an Air sign will be an interesting one, as their analysis and subsequent explanation (hopefully in terms we can understand) will indicate. dauntless ( the brave )

Dauntless is one of the five factions in the world of Divergent, the faction dedicated to courage, bravery, toughness, and fearlessness. It was formed by those who blamed fear and cowardice as a cause of the problems society faced. It tries to fight cowardice by giving the advantage of preparation and the ability to act when facing a fear to its members. The Dauntless value the virtue of bravery over any other, as such they train to fight and use weapons to prepare their bodies to respond to threats and challenges, which is necessary if they want to survive life as a Dauntless member. The faction also emphasizes the idea of freedom from fear

hawthorn ( the illusionist ) 

Hawthorn signs in Celtic tree astrology are not at all what they appear to be. Outwardly, they appear to be a certain persona, while on the inside Hawthorn's are quite different. They put the term “never judge a book by its cover” to the test. They live seemingly average lives while on the inside they carry fiery passions and inexhaustible creative flame. They are well adjusted and can adapt to most life situations well - making themselves content and comforting others at the same time. You are naturally curious, and have an interest in a broad range of topics. You are an excellent listener, and people seek you out as an outlet to release their burdens. You have a healthy sense of humor, and have a clear understanding of irony. You tend to see the big picture, and have amazing insight - although you typically won't give yourself enough credit for your observations. Hawthorn signs match up nicely with Ash and Rowan's.

slytherin ( the snake )

The snake or serpent has long been identified with cunning. A great example of the snake’s association with deceit is the story of Adam and Eve. The Celts used to refer to the wise leaders in their communities as Adders, which is of course a type of snake. This traditional term echoes Slytherin’s relationship with cleverness (a close cousin of knowledge) and ambition.  Snakes are often associated with immortality and rebirth. The connection between water and serpents illustrates this symbolism, as water in itself is thought to represent rebirth and purification. Snakes also shed their skin, another trait associated with rebirth. Slytherins are said to be achievement oriented. Immortality is a sort of achievement. If one becomes immortal through fame or a legacy left behind, that is an achievement for sure. Snakes and serpents have been associated with both good and evil throughout myths and legends over the years. Sometimes they are portrayed as a healing power, while other times they represent death or sin. This division in moral leanings of snakes is similar to how Slytherin House is comprised of wizards with both good intents and evil leanings.

sexual persona ( the playstation )

Easy to turn on. Hard to beat. You are The Playstation. You’re a nice girl, and you have lots of sex. It’s therefore highly likely that you’re attractive, and you’re certainly outgoing & friendly. Plus, this healthy physical attitude of yours indicates deeper emotional well-being and stability. Unheard of. When guys dare to dream, they dream of you. You don’t get attached too easily, and, to wit, you’re not necessarily looking for something long-term right now. That’s a bigger asset than you know. The Sanguine is sociable and charismatic, generally warm-hearted, pleasant, lively, optimistic, creative, compassionate, and outgoing; she is the life of the party, humorous, enthusiastic, and cheerful; she easily attracts others and makes friends; she inspires others to work and join in the fun. She is sincere at heart, always a child, creative and colorful, possesses energy and enthusiasm, loves people, is a great volunteer, thrives on compliments, and doesn’t hold grudges. The Sanguine likes to talk a lot… struggles with completing tasks… is chronically late… and tends to forget her obligations… she bases her decisions primarily on feelings. chaotic neutral ( the free spirit ) 

A chaotic neutral character follows her whims. She is an individualist first and last. She values his own liberty but doesn't strive to protect others' freedom. She avoids authority, resents restrictions, and challenges traditions. A chaotic neutral character does not intentionally disrupt organizations as part of a campaign of anarchy. To do so, she would have to be motivated either by good (and a desire to liberate others) or evil (and a desire to make those different from herself suffer). A chaotic neutral character may be unpredictable, but her behavior is not totally random. She is not as likely to jump off a bridge as to cross it. Chaotic neutral is the best alignment you can be because it represents true freedom from both society's restrictions and a do-gooder's zeal. Chaotic neutral can be a dangerous alignment when it seeks to eliminate all authority, harmony, and order in society.
