Originally I was planning another HorrorFest but two big events back to back was a bit too much (HF will be next year instead). However, there will be a mini event (one day) that I was originally hosting but will now be mainly hosted by @gaalee-events because with my health and being back at work I need to step back a bit from fandom because I’ve been overwhelmed.

I believe they’ll be announcing the event next week so def stay tuned!

WIP Your Heart Out 2023: Fic Pic Preview

GaaLee fandom artists, we are fast approaching April 15th when artist sign-ups for WIP Your Heart Out go live! However, with the early completion of the first check-in comes the opportunity for an early preview of the fics being worked on for this event!

WIPYHO has a total of eleven (11) fics written by seven (7) different writers, who are all eager to get their artist match-up next month! But while there's still some time before the final pairings are set, artists, you now have the chance to check out what's in store for you!

PureGaaLee Presents: WIP Your Heart Out

The end of the year is fast approaching, and with it PureGaaLee is getting ready for a new event to kick off 2023! After all, what better way to start the new year than with an event to help you accomplish one of your resolutions?

WIP Your Heart Out is designed to help you get those languishing stories finished! Did you make a resolution in 2022 to finish that fic, but didn't? Are you resolving to finish that fic in 2023? Do you have multiple WIPs hanging over your head? Well, this event is for you!

The event will be a long-running, formal event with sign-ups and regular check-ins, and it is for both writers and artists!

Writers will sign-up at the start of the year with any number of WIPs they want to get done, and artists will sign-up two months later by picking one or more fics to create art for! This event relies heavily on the relationship between fan writers and fan artists, and how we all inspire one another! And hopefully, this event can inspire you to finish your project!

This is not a prompt based event, so there's no need to worry about filling prompts or finding inspiration for a new idea. Just dust off those WIPs and get crackin'!

The event will be open to writers, artists, and artist pinch-hitters! So be on the lookout for announcements!

PureGaaLee's HorrorFest 2022: Event Wrap-Up [banner by @ghoste-catte]

The end of Horror Fest 2022 is here! I hope everyone had a wonderful time creating their pieces, and for those who didn't create anything, I hope you enjoyed all the wonderful pieces everyone made!

For the first HorrorFest, I am so happy with the turn out! I know horror is a difficult genre, but I hope people who tried something new are proud of what they created, that everyone who's never given horror a chance have found that it's a broad genre with a lot more than just jumpscares, and that everyone familiar with the genre got to do something fun!

Plans for next year's HorrorFest are already in the works, but until next year, here's the final event wrap-up! If you missed anything, here's your chance to check out everything in one neat place! We plan to make it 16+ BUT if the artists will be up to it we’ll make a special 18+ edition💦

Halloween may not be just around the corner, but the horrors and haunts are still eager to begin at @puregaalee with another event!

This event is intended to be a longer running holiday event to encourage larger scale contributions (though these are not mandatory), and so the event will start sometime in mid-August (or sooner if people prefer). There is no maximum number of pieces anyone can create or how many prompts one can use for one piece.

For this particular event, the prompts will be presented as a mix & match. Think of a bowl of random candies left out for trick-or-treaters, where you can grab a handful of anything and everything–and this time you can be as greedy as you want, because the bowl won’t run out! Prompts range from words, quotes, and images, and can be used in a variety of ways to create whatever fan content you wish. The prompts are, strictly speaking, horror prompts for a more creepy vibe to this event.

More information will be posted towards the end of July based on the interest check!

FINISH!!!!

As 2021 ends and 2022 begins, the Naruto-Run to One-K has come to an end and with it myself and @gaalee-events would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated and congratulate the entire GaaLee fandom on what must be considered a landmark event!

For those of us who have been active in the GaaLee fandom since the early days, this ship has always been of lesser popularity and thus finding content, especially fic content, was always a challenge. Through the incredible efforts of everyone these past 25 days, the GaaLee tag on Ao3 has finally reached an incredible one-thousand fics. In fact, it has surpassed that!

As of January 1st, 2022 the GaaLee tag now holds 1,014 fics!!!

The incredible skill and dedication this event brought out has been wonderful to see, and both of your event organizers are blown away by the sheer number of words produced in such a short amount of time.

So thank you to the following people for doing a stellar job contributing to this event and getting this tag so far in such a short time:

And a massive shout-out to @egregiousderp for blowing us all out of the water with the highest word count, sitting pretty at 43,554 words–and all done in just three fics!

And finally–last, but most certainly not least–this event would be nothing without those who contributed a single fic for the event. There were seven fics posted by seven different people which helped us to exceed our goal, and for that the organizers thank you!

The Allied Nations Saga: Honor Bound Prologue: The Serpent Strikes Part Two of Four Word Count: 790 Chapters: 1/27 Characters/Ships: Ensemble Cast, Multi-Ship Summary:

After the events of the Fourth Shinobi war, the Five Great Nations and Lesser Nations can begin to rebuild. The alliances forged during the war should make them stronger, the bonds created during such strife should be unbreakable. But there is more to alliances and treaties than mere friendship, and when peace threatens so much of the status quo will the alliances hold? Will bonds of friendship and trust pass the test? Can the tides change and the cycles of violence be undone? And how will the banded-together nations fight against the foes they couldn’t defeat at the end of the final battle?

And here we are at year’s end or year’s beginning, because I meant to post this just before midnight and instead it was like a minute after.

For those who know me and know this series, I am sure this sequel has been long-awaited. For those who don’t, I promise you will understand nothing of this story if you don’t read the first part, Alliance

I decided that, eleven + half years after starting Alliance and three years to the day when I finally posted the last chapter of Alliance, I would finally finally post the prologue of the sequel (which has been written for at least the last five years). The Naruto-Run to One-K ( @puregaalee and @gaalee-events) is honestly the only reason I decided to do this. So much of me still wants to go back over and re-edit Alliance, especially now after years of working on other fics and refining my view of the Naruto world even further. I’m hoping to do that before posting more of this, but in the spirit of this event–once again–I am just throwing caution to the Wind (get it, Wind. Wind Country) and posting. This fic is planned in full, the first three chapters are written, but there is a lot more work to be done, so hopefully in posting this I can motivate myself to really get back to working on this series.

Despite the many other novel length fics I have, Alliance is still my baby and I don’t want to leave the Saga incomplete. I hope everyone who’s awaited this sequel is excited to see it finally here! And I hope that whoever decides to read the 271k words that comprises Alliances finds it well worth the journey and will join me as I continue this series.

Really getting down to the wire here for @puregaalee and @gaalee-events Naruto-Run to One-K, but I managed to get this to a decent enough point (I hope) that I am finally going to post the Hanahaki fic I have been talking about for ever. I’m honestly worried I’ve hyped it up accidentally and that it will now disappoint, but I’ll probably go back over this chapter before I start the second one since I’m not feeling super confident about the newest additions to this fic.

But that is the point of the Naruto-Run to One-K, even if we have surpassed the 1k goal and are now sitting pretty at a healthy 1,012. But anyway, here we have it! My Hanahaki fantasy AU inspired by the Queen song–not to be completely on the nose or anything–Too Much Love Will Kill You.

I do hope people enjoy this! And I especially hope y'all get a kick out of my extra ass fic+chapter titles because if you can’t be extra when writing a fic where ppl literally vomit flowers, when can you be?
