This small carving of a water bird was created 33,000 years ago. The sculpted piece of mammoth ivory, found in the Hohle Fels cave in Germany, may be the earliest representation of a bird. [900x675]

(I have another post before this where I explain my video)
One of the sources for the video of the Azolla Event that I did was the Azolla Foundation founded by Alexandra and Jonathan Bujak.
However I only read the page about the Event and the geology of it all, but the website goes on to explain the various utilities of the azolla plant in other pages (a lot of then).
The couple Bujak works in areas of climate change studies and sequestration of carbon it seems, and much more of the site talks about the properties of the plant in combating climate change. So for me seemed like a good call from me to have done a carbon sequestration section after the Azolla Event one in the video.
There is this really interesting part, that I didn't read much, about the use of the plant in space missions and habitats and the people involved in studies of it's use.
Really cool stuff, I didn't search more about the founders so I can't know their works at the moment, but if you want to search for yourself here is the link.

so this days I have been doing some research on futurism for my next video to be posted in my job's channel.
I work in a library so, you can see, I can talk about a bunch of things in this videos
but for the next ones we received a demand, I think from the Secretary of culture from my state, that we talk abou the Modern Art Week of 1922. So I figured in doing one about the influences of futurism on the Week.
I have been finding a bunch of cool shit in this searches (the same can be said for my other videos) and I will be posting about this when the video gets completed.
but in the mean time I will post about the things that I discovered with my last video on the subject of the Azolla Event and carbon sequestration laws.
good afternoon!

Hang in there, kid. 2020 is almost over.
Here’s hoping we all swing through the next few weeks with the ease of a variegated spider monkey. This example is one of 22 illustrations by John Gerrard Keulemans in “A hand-book to the primates” (1894). The book, written by Dr. Henry O. Forbes, can be found in @biodivlibrary : https://s.si.edu/2LBjOeD .
An excellent way to celebrate National Monkey Day, or just a dreary Monday 🐒!

This was my first original embroidery, I don't remember exactly when I finished but I think it was just this last months.
After this one I did a strawberry one that I based in the photos of a book about fruits I have 🍓. You can see this embroidery in one of my posts.
Oh and the palm trees in this one came from photos of this book too. It had a bunch of little coconuts :p

I couldn't filter which museums had sites on the map so I downloaded the data and filtered through the column “sites" which boxes had something on them. So I came up with a list of 404 museums which, interestingly, is also the number that appears when you click on a good part of the sites. To solve this I thought about filtering again, a magic word that didn't work for me this time, the solution was to ask for help from my brother and from time to time check the functionality of the sites in "Yes" and "No".
I haven't finished yet, because of school and work, my brother also has a school, so the project stopped for a while, but my goal is to map the websites of museums in my state and see the profile of their digital collections.
