It actually doesn’t matter that she hadn’t dated anyone after 2012 for 3-4 years because the world had labeled her a slut. It doesn’t matter that she dated a regular amount of people as a normal early 20 year old woman did. It doesn’t matter that she’s been in a relationship with the same person for 5 years. It doesn’t matter. And those things shouldn’t matter. Even IF she didn’t date for 3-4 years, even IF she dated more than average people, even IF she hasn’t been in a relationship with the same person for half a decade it doesn’t matter. She still shouldn’t be slut shamed. People make jokes and turn a blind eye because oh it’s Taylor Swift but like... regardless if you like her or not, she is one of the biggest artists of the decade. She won artist of the decade. If Netflix, one of the biggest streaming services of the world, can allow these types of jokes in their shows about the woman of the decade, a global superstar, a woman who has broken many records throughout her career.. who’s to say that they won’t do it to a younger, more vulnerable artist? Who’s to say this mindset won’t ruin that young woman’s career like it almost did taylors?
