Kai I can't control my breathing. It's a shuddering mess. A flicker of anger ignites, turns inward, a fury directed toward myself, and I allow myself to burn. I return my gaze to the ocean around me, and my fear dissipates. I won't drown. I have fire. I am fire. Perhaps, that's all I am. All I'm good for.
