I have to share one of the funniest pictures I have from over 10 years of cosplaying. Of course, cosplayer candids anywhere that cosplayers shouldn't be are high comedy, which makes it even more shocking that this was at a convention. I am not surprised that it was Blupjeans, as we were wearing them a LOT from 2019 until 2021.
Context: my wife and I have been going to Dragon Con yearly since 2021 now. It's one of our favorite conventions, and part of that is the scale and the unique blend of fandoms present.
One of the fandoms that goes, and goes in droves, is the 300 fandom. There are a shit ton of them that go, in cosplay, and walk around as a group. This is important context for this post.
So, it's Monday (the last day of Dragon Con), 2022. We've done a last visit to the dealer's hall, and we're about to return to the hotel to get our car and leave the convention to go home. There is a large screen that is at the main entrance/exit to the vendors, and it flips through photography from Dragon Cons past.

A big picture of the 300 pops up on the board. Yeah, that makes sense, the people love that shit. But wait... one of these things is not like the other- enhance-

When I tell you that I SCREAMED. It's me and my wife @galactic-gryphon dressed as Lup and Barry from The Adventure Zone at Dragon Con 2021, with Starbucks.
And that's the story of our Mike Wazowski photobomb of the 300, and that time we got to be in the Dragon Con photo set.

"Are you still looking for answers, where there are only questions?"
Instagram liked this photo, so thought I'd share here as well. This is one of my favorites from the Signalis shoot I had with my wife at Dragoncon last year.

Second obligatory Felix day post
Felix is a very dear character to me. It's funny, because when I first played Houses he was not my favorite (not that I hated him, I just wouldn't say I loved him that much), but by now he's definitely one of my top favorite characters ever.
Happy birthday to the character of all time, Felix FireEmblem.

It's Felix Hugo Fraldarius day! I'll probably do another post for all the cosplays I've done for him, but I would like to spotlight my most ambitious build (for now) - Fem!Dancer Felix

This cosplay was a labor of love, and part of a duo with my wife @spaceselkie (She did Fem!Dancer Dimitri). This design for Felix was a blend of his timeskip designs in both Houses and Hopes. It was my first time working with silk, which was very intimidating, but I also found that I really enjoyed working with silk in the process!
In addition to the dress, I made Aegis and Moralta. They're both made of 90% foam, and Aegis does light up (my initiation into soldering LED circuits). I have spruced up Moralta since debuting this cosplay, and I'd really love to show it off in its final form with this costume.
The wig was my first time successfully making a detachable ponytail. It's probably my least favorite part, mostly in execution of concept. (Wig styling remains my weakest cosplay skill)
I may go into more breakdowns of how I made this cosplay later on, but for now, I just wanted to share!

I think the first real post for my cosplay blog will have to go to one of my favorite props I've made recently.

For my Ariane, I decided to make a book-bag of none other than the game's King in Yellow. The cover and spine designs are all cross stitch, and the "pages" were made by experimenting with blind tucks. Patternwise, the bag is just a lot of rectangles. I used scraps of plastic canvas and literal cardboard to reinforce everything. With the shoulder strap attached, the book hangs pages facing down, with the cover able to be lifted to "open" the bag. This closure is secured by magnets.
I always have to find a way to carry things at cons, and my philosophy is: if you can't make it hidden, make it part of the costume!
I'm so happy with how this turned out. It ended up being the most work intensive part of the costume, but I'm very proud of it.

Hello! I'm Sloane, and I'm finally getting around to making a Tumblr for my cosplay! Here I'll post a variety of things related to my cosplay, everything from WIPs to process breakdowns to finished full cosplay photos.
I am 31 years old, and have been cosplaying since 2013. Any pronouns are fine.
My wife, @spaceselkie , will likely feature in many posts on here. 💖
