Adaman would wanna tell you immediately when he realizes his feelings

He doesn't wanna waste time skirting around it or pretending he doesn't like you; why would he do that when he can just let you know how he feels!

Except when he actually goes to do it he kinda panics for a second:

He doesn't know what to say suddenly when he looks at you, and has to take a moment to collect his thoughts that he rushed through earlier

He'd walk right up to you in Jubilife, looking fairly relaxed with a big grin on his face then freeze up like he's having some other wordly vision lol

Just like, give him a few seconds, he'll recollect himself

Forces himself to just do it- again- he's "wasting" time just standing there not saying it; time that could be spent being with you as a couple if you feel the same.

Grabs your shoulders like he's about to shake you but doesn't

"I like you." Or "I love you." Depending on how far into knowing you he is and how deep your relationship is.

Deadass, simple, won't mince his words, won't skirt around it. That's just sticky, and might end up confusing (and more awkward if you don't feel the same.)

Kind of shocking- he really just did that- you don't really know what to say at first like, did he really just??

Might repeat himself in case you weren't listening or didn't hear him??

If you reciprocate those feelings back, he can't help himself but wrap his arms around you tight and actually might just lift you off the ground

Laughs happily, kinda loud, kinda draws attention to you if there are people around- he can't help it in that moment

When he sets you down man's dramatically wipes his brow like,

"Thank the almighty Sinnoh; I was scared you didn't feel the same- phew!"

Roll your eyes at him. He deserves it.

Adaman comforting reader who is trying to be brave about it:

Honestly at first he thinks you're injured in some way, but after a full body scan with his eyes, he relaxes just a bit, but he's still worried.

Makes you look at him, asks what's wrong, if someone did something, or if he did something

When you try to pretend you're not crying and say you're fine, he doesn't believe you from the beginning, you can't fool him, he can tell you were crying

But decides to be like "okay, say, you weren't crying. Why is your face wet- why are your eyes red?"

It's hard to deny it at that point, so either you don't say anything, or you just cry. It's hard to really say the words and admit you're just... sad.

His next reaction is gonna be to hug you; he doesn't know what's wrong but clearly you're hurting, and he doesn't know what else to do in that moment

As much as he doesn't want you to cry, he's kinda... Relieved in a sense that you are crying t him right now- because you've probably been holding onto this for a while.

Rubs circles into your back and just says what comes to mind which is along the lines of "whatever it is, it'll be okay." Or just "it's okay."

He doesn't know if it helps or not but it's all he can think of in the moment while he holds you

Whenever you calm down enough, he asks you to look at him and asks what's wrong while holding your shoulders

He won't force you exactly to tell him but he will be pretty consistent on asking what's wrong or if you wanna tell him, it'll eventually work on you maybe

If you do just tell him what's wrong he listens intently for as long as you want to speak or tell him.

It isn't a waste of time to listen to you or help you or just be there for you, he'd give up all his time to help you if he needed to.

He insists you come to him if you feel this way, please, he wants to be there, he wants to help, he doesn't want you to be alone

Hes much better with physically comforting you than he is with words so his go to his touch in a hug, or just putting his hand on your arm, etc.

Is more careful with his words though- actually takes time to think about what to say and how to say it

Loves you very much and it hurts him that you're hurting, and that you feel like you can't reach out to anyone

Best dad award!!

A fun dad- loves to have fun with his child.

Wasn't prepared to be a dad no matter what tbh, but he's sort of a natural somehow?

The type of dad to sleep in the room the newborn baby is sleeping in so he can be there immediately if something is wrong!

You rest, he will feed and change baby at 3 am; you already carried them for 9 months (if you did- if you adopt, he still likes to do this anyways, he can't help it.)

Thinks his child is the coolest child, the best child, won't take constructive criticism.

Most likely to let little things slide out of the two of you

But also knows how to crack down on bad behaviour

Not really one to punish their child per say, he'd try to make whatever the "punishment" is into a learning opportunity instead.

Gives piggyback rides a lot or let's them ride on his shoulders; hello how's the weather up there kid??

Calls his child "kiddo." Even when they get older lmao

Adaman:

This man is big on time and stuff so he'd likely appreciate a partner who doesn't just let time pass them by and does all they can do without letting the idea of too little time stop them, you just gotta do it before there's no time left!

He doesn't worry too much about the nitty gritty details of things because he doesn't want to waste time; he wants to get going and do what he can in the time he has

He's not opposed to dragging you along with him from place to place so he'd do well with a partner who is okay with spontaneity.

If you like pokemon that's a plus!

As much as time is something he hates to see wasted, any time with his partner is time well spent

Time with his partner could never be a waste; in fact, that time is likely one of the only times he fins himself not rushing forward without thinking (mostly)

He's pretty attentive as well; I like to imagine because he rushes into things at times, he's really good at easily reading situations.

His kisses are either quick and rough by accident or slow and hungry, loving. Depending on the situation.

In public it's pretty quick, Alone he's slow- needy. But just gentle enough; knows limits.

Would probably go around with his arm around you or holding you- likes to cuddle too alone. Big spoon 99% of the time.

Wanders a lot, wouldn't want anyone in his life to try to tie him down to a singular spot.

If someone is willing to battle him and challenge him every so often he'd like it

Interested in talking about myths and pokemon; if you indulge him he will appreciate it- even if you don't really care too much

But in private he does like to hold his significant other and be near them.

I get a feeling he might be kind of... Possessive at times, but it wouldn't be obvious.

Leon x Reader who is afraid of heights (and wants to get over this fear!)

Leon is such a doll; he is really understanding about it

He's not afraid of heights or flying whatsoever; he's been in a corvik taxi more than a few times, and he has ridden his charizard more times than he can count

Plus he literally at the tippy top of the battle tower after losing his title of champion; he is not afraid of heights.

He can pick up on signs that you are afraid if you don't tell him; he is very attentive to the people he cares about around him.

If you tell him he reassures you that a lot of people feel that way! It's a reasonable fear, I mean, heights can be super scary! And so is flying in the sky!

When you let him know you want to conquer this fear he is your #1 hype man, and will support and help you however he can!

Takes it slow at first- depending on how high is to high, he might take you to the roof of a smaller building or something taller.

Holds your hand the whole time.

Charizard is very useful for flying you up at different heights to ease you into it also!

And charizard is a good baby who will protect you from the big scary heights-

Never forces you: if you say stop, it's done. Okay we going back onto the ground-

He inside does want you to conquer the fear not just for yourself but also because he would love to fly around Galar with you on his charizard

And wants you to visit the battle tower and see how the stars really look up so high

Each step you take is a big one to him no matter how minute it might seem to you, so he is always ready to hype you up and tell you he's proud and happy

He's not trying to baby you btw; he genuinely is excited and happy, and proud, he's not just doing it to coddle you or anything.

Hop was scared of heights as a little tiny kiddo before Leon became champion, so that is also where it comes from!

If you can never truly get over the fear completely it's okay, he's till proud of you, and there are some things in the world that you can't change- it doesn't make you any less valid

How abt Headcanons with raihan and Leon with a gender neutral reader/SO who doesn’t eat that often? They just constantly forget to eat or don’t feel hungry all that often, which kind of means in general they run on low energy throughout the day. How would the boys react to that and deal with trying to get the reader to snack more, things like that?

I mean like, I tried to make this not seem inaccurate, but my low energy is cause I'm clinically sad.tm so I’m not sure about how it feels/body reacts due to low energy caused by low food intake, so I tried my best! also hello sorry I keep taking so long to do these I’m just- university is hard you guys lmao. HCs: Leon and Raihan with a S/O who forgets to eat/doesn’t feel hungry often, so they’re generally low on energy throughout the day.

Leon:

Honestly, he forgets to eat sometimes too. 

He’s so busy all the time, that he sometimes just.. Forgets to eat, doesn’t even realize he’s hungry till someone mentions it to him. 

But he has people who remind him all the time, be it the chairman or Oleana, or another staff member from the league or maybe another gym leader like Raihan, or Melody, Kabu. So he eats well enough! 

But with you, having someone he sees forget to eat, that doesn’t eat often, he becomes much more acutely aware not only about when he needs to eat but also to when you need to eat. 

It is beneficial to him, and to you, because now he’s more aware, and makes sure you both eat when you need it. 

He won’t force you to eat if you just don’t feel hungry, but he’s gonna try to make sure you have a snack or something with you. 

Takes the time to make sure you guys eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner together, and makes sure he learns your favourite foods so you might be more inclined to eat it.

Worries a lot about you- and realizes people probably worried about him when he worked so hard he’d forget to eat. 

If you aren’t eating a healthy amount of food, he’s not gonna just leave it alone. It’s not healthy, so he’s going to find ways to get you on a healthier track.

Cause it makes you low energy, aside from making sure you at least get snack before dinner, etc. y’all gonna take vitamins.

I see Raihan as a bit more self-conscious about his food intake and when he’s hungry than Raihan is.

He’s a pretty healthy eater, like not only is it good for you, but he actually does like healthy foods that a lot of people don’t.

Will indulge in fast food and sweets though quite a bit, but he balances it out. 

Takes vitamins- gotta keep yourself healthy! Esp. as a gym leader, it’s demanding. And also just... It makes you feel good.

Not one to care about what people eat despite being a generally healthy eater, but he’s going to care a lot about you and how you eat.

Not because he wants you to be like him or be a health nut, but because you don’t eat a lot and it leaves you with little energy during the day- 

Now there’s nothing wrong with a nice afternoon nap, but if you do it every day because you aren’t eating enough to maintain enough energy for the day, he’s going to have a problem with it.

Pushier than Leon about making you eat; but he means well. And he does know when he should stop pushing you; he knows your limits.

He knows you may not feel hungry, but that doesn’t mean your body doesn’t need to be fed- so if it’s having small meals throughout the day instead of three big ones then that’s what he’ll help you do. 

He’s into protein shakes tbh, esp. after he works out, etc. so he’ll let you try them too- but he’s also a huge water drinker, and water can help you not just stay hydrated but it can also energize you.

You're bad with directions, so is Leon. Heck, his brother had to go meet him at the train station before out of fear he would get lost! Going to his own home.

Takes you a total of 30 minutes to an hour to get lost. Oops.

Honestly, hes going to really pretend he isn't lost for as long as he can when you say you think you're lost.

Hes like, "uh, no.... We aren't lost-" doesn't wanna make you worried.

But then again, you already know he is also lost. You've been with him for long enough to know that if you were lost, he definitely was too. And probably had been the whole time.

Leon is a smart man, and strong too, but man, you can't have everything in life. So his directional sense? Absolutely abysmal.

It would be cute if your sense or direction didn't also suck, meaning you both had no idea where you were.

Oh, and that map? Not helpful at all.

"If we... Are here... I think this is where we are? Babe, is this where we are? You don't know either? Oh Arceus... Uh okay well, let's just assume this is where we are on the map! If we go north- uh... that way I think-"

Take that map from him, take it please. Neither of you know how to read it properly! Leon never had to learn okay, he always has charizard or people to help him as champion!

Also... I personally HC that even when charizard helps Leon with directions, he still messes it up sometimes...

Ensures you it's all gonna be okay! Two heads together- even if they're both directionally inept, are better than one, right?

Be prepared to kinda get into some arguments. Nothing big of course, more like "we have already been here Leon!" Followed by "no we haven't, okay you lead then-" "I know as much as you do about where we are, I'm not leading!" "So does that mean you admit we haven't been here?" "No!!"

If for some reason charizard can't help, you're gonna have to resort to calling someone...

First option - Hop. Will make fun of Leon and you a bit, but is generally okay at helping you both guide yourselves out.

Second option - Raihan. Will poke more fun at Leon then Hop, less at you. He's 50/50 going to either send you a digital useless map, and explain how to get out using it, or come pick you up.

Third option - Sonia. Leon puts her last solely because he knows shes doing to call him out for getting lost with you, and tell him to learn to read a map properly. Most likely to just go out and find you two or send her yamper.

Maybe you guys should get a GPS or a guide next time! Or... you can just do it all over again. It is kind of fun spending the time with him after all.

Summary: You feel pretty self conscious about your body today, and it's not a great feeling. It's a good thing Raihan has the uncanny ability to fix things... Amongst other things.  

Something about how you looked today was putting you off, and it had been all day. You weren't entirely sure, but you had this nagging voice in the back of your head telling you it was probably because you gained weight or something. It was a frustrating thought, but once it formed inside your head it seemed quite content on staying.

You moved your shirt, pulled it away from your stomach, turned 180 to look at yourself from every angle you could in the floor length mirror. It was captivating to stare at yourself but also dangerous because you were doing it with the intent to find any flaw, be it big or small, on your body.

You had been so focused on nitpicking yourself and pinching your arms, thighs, and stomach, that you barely took notice to the near 7ft tall man who had just come into your shared bedroom from the living room.

"If you keep staring so much, I might get jealous," Raihans deep voice startled you and for a second your eyes flicked to his in the mirror, then they flitted back to your own eyes.

"Lame," was the only response you could muster as you felt shame fill your bones, and embarrassment. Did he think you were as unattractive as you felt you were? Did he look at you and see your flaws like you did?

It was silent between the two of you for a moment before the gym leader took a few steps closer to you, "I was beginning to wonder where you went. I didn't realize changing into pajamas took so much work and scrutinizing."

Oh.

Oh ya. You had come into the bedroom to change into your pajamas, and settle in the living room to watch a movie with Raihan. But you hadn't been able to stop yourself from stopping when you passed the mirror on your way to the closet in your room.

"Shit," you breathed out, "Sorry Rai, I got distracted- I just..."

"Was too busy nitpicking yourself?" He finished for you. Without warning his long arms pulled your body into his chest from behind, "I don't see what there is to nitpick- you're real hot babe."

Your body stiffened in his arms as you became uncomfortable with the idea that any possible extra weight you had on your bones was pressing up against his body, and he could feel it. When you tried to pull away he only locked his arms tighter.

"Raihan..." you sighed in defeat.

"What is it?" He continued, his chest vibrating beneath your back as he spoke into your ear, "what's bothering you. Tell me, so I can convince you otherwise."

"...I feel like I've gained weight recently, I don't know... I'm not as fit as you are and I dont know I just... I don't have a body like Nessa or anything- you could do better."

The dragon tamers hands began to wander suddenly as he put one hand under the front of your shirt and explored the skin with his fingers tips, it made a shiver run down your spine and he noticed. He always did.

"I don't see it," he hummed, "don't feel it either... But even then, who cares if you gain weight? You'd be just as sexy as you are right now... Besides, it would just be more for me to hold."

At that, he turned you around to face him swiftly, and his hands continued to wander as he felt your skin beneath his.

"And if I'm being completely honest," his voice was barely even a whisper beside your ear, "Girls with a little extra? A much bigger turn on than a body like Nessa's."

His body pressed into yours and that mixed with his wandering fingers and his voice in your ear was enough to make you let out a moan you had been trying to hide. How had he managed to make you go from self loathing in the mirror to being completely and utterly turned on, bent to his will, in a matter of minutes.

"R-Raihan," you bit your lip as his lips wandered on your neck, he was definitely planning on leaving a hickey on your skin- you could feel his smirk at how you were reacting to him and if he hadn't made you weak at the knees, you would've nudged him for smirking at you, "you win... I look fine... What about the m-movie."

"Hmm..." you knew he was pretending to think as he hummed into your neck, mixing it with a moan, "I don't think I could focus on a movie right now..."

You secretly were hoping that was what he would say- because you felt the same. The way your body was suddenly yearning for him was a welcome switch from the feelings of hatred you had felt earlier. He made you feel sexy, attractive, beautiful.

Before you could attempt to respond to him, you found yourself easily lifted off the ground- you had to wrap your legs around his waist as he held you up in his arms, face to face with him- somehow holding you a few inches higher then his face really. If you weren't completely enraptured by him at that moment you may have been thinking about how this must be what it's like to be tall.

Your legs wrapped around his body turned him on, you could tell. His lips connected with your own and you could feel the hunger behind his lips, and the same behind your own. It wasn't too long before he had bit your lip and you released a moan- falling onto your bed with him atop of you, using his arms to keep him from pressing himself entirely onto you.

"Too soon," you moaned, referring to the bite he had given your lip. He smirked- he knew it wasn't too soon.

"You know I can't help it babe," the way he spoke sounded feral, like he was trying to hold himself back but it was hard.

His hands helped you to remove your own shirt, then he helped you remove his own. Your hands roamed across his chest- then dragged him harshly back down towards you. The moments your lips touched his again, you felt like you were going to explode.

He pulled back, much to your sudden dismay.

"You," he breathed deep, "are the most attractive person I've ever met. You drive me fucking crazy. Stop. Doubting. Yourself."

Needless to say, you didn't feel self conscious of yourself for the rest of the night. He didn't allow it.

If it was not yet obvious with other things I have written, Leon loves physical contact. 

But, because of his occupation, always being busy- he never really got it. Not at least how he wanted it. 

But now he has you, his girlfriend, someone he was never sure he would ever really have to be honest. 

I mean, he became champion at 10 and didn’t think about girls back then. Then he got older, and of course, he thought about maybe wanting someone special but never did it. Never had the time, and if he rarely did, he was nervous. Never did he want to be with someone and make them feel his life as a champion was more important then they were. 

But now there's you; the leap he took because he could not imagine just letting you pass by. Every other person he let go by, he never felt the same way he did about them as he did you. 

So let’s just say the point is, he loves physical contact. 

You may thrive off of it, but he is deprived of it. 

So it’s kind of perfect.

Nervous about it at first, but when he gets into the swing of things- he loves to hold hands. 

Cuddling. Cuddling is something he will cherish- and because you love physical contact and he knows this, he’ll try to give it to you as much as he can.

It’s as much for you as it is for him; cuddling is easiest, cuddling is calm. You love physical contact, and cuddling offers a lot of that. 

He’s not picky; likes to be the big spoon and the little spoon. 

When he’s the big spoon, he likes to keep you as close to his body as he possibly can; your back against his front, he likes to hold your hand. Loves hand-holding, even when you’re cuddling.

Likes to tangle his legs up with yours.

The feeling of your breathing is calming to him; he falls asleep pretty fast sometimes and will 100% fall asleep on you, or while cuddling you. And he is a fairly heavy sleeper; he does a lot, is exhausted a lot, so when he does sleep he is in it deep.

It’s easy to wake him up though; just give him a kiss or tickle him. That’ll usually do it.

When he’s the little spoon, more often then not, it’s on days when he feels small. Days where it wasn’t a good day. Days when he, though it's hard to admit, need someone else to protect him instead of it being the other way around.

Like when he is big spoon, he likes to keep himself really close to you. 

Curls himself up; he’s tall, about 6 feet tall, so it’s kind of cute. 

Aside from cuddling though; him knowing how you thrive off of physical affection means he also will greet you and say goodbye with a kiss, and a hug. Always. 

In general, will kiss your forehead a lot. Out in public on a date? Head kiss. Going to bed? Head kiss. Hanging out on the couch? Head kiss. At the grocery store? Head kiss. 

You get the point. 

He’s pretty much always pure about his touches, unlike... Oh I don’t know... Raihan maybe.
